Na´Vi join Fx in ICSC 7 final

Natus Vincere have moved past their countrymen KerchNET to join Frag eXecutors in the Grand-final of the Intel Challenge Super Cup 7.

Once again, the first map of the semi-final would be de_nuke. Everything started off as expected with Na´Vi picking up the pistol and the first of the save rounds. PC problems then plagued what seemed to be only the Na´Vi side of stage which caused a lengthy pause. When the match resumed Na´Vi picked up right where they left off and went on their way to take the half 11-4.

In the second half, KerchNET were able to turn the tables, and put some early pressure on the Ukrainian champions taking the first four rounds. Na´Vi was able to steady the flow and pick up a crucial round. KercNET once again surged forward and after eleven rounds, the score was 9-2 in favour of the challengers and evening the match up at 13-13. Just like Fx in the first Semi-final, NaVi were able to regain their composure and win the critical rounds and take the map 16-14.

The second map would see the two teams face off on de_dust2. de_dust2 is notoriously strong for Na´Vi and today was no different. Na´Vi managed to secure a total of 13 rounds as terrorists.

KerchNET needing nothing short of a miracle to remain in this competition, started the second half on the wrong foot losing the pistol which set off a chain of force buys to try and stay in it. In the end they yield to Na´Vi's pressure and went down fighting 16-3.

Natus Vincere will now meet Frag eXecutors in the Grand-final of the Intel Challenge Super Cup 7. Both the final and the third place playoff are scheduled to begin at 18:00CET.
