MR10 in digifest lower-bracket

The organizers of digifest 2011 have decided to run MR10 in the lower-bracket in their Counter-Strike tournament, as delays at the event continue to push the schedule.

Already at day one there were significant delays at the Estonian event. After more than three hours delay, the first game got started, this supposedly was due to both issues with internet at the event, but also the tournament computers.

Today, the delays have continued to kick in. At first rumors were that the organizers had decided to cancel the lower-bracket. It was however decided that the lower-bracket will be played MR10, meaning the first team to reach 11 rounds will be the winning team.

This is madness!

team winning pistol round has huge chances to destroy the opponent on the side, since the opponent doesnt have enough rounds to try to win the side (imagine you lost the pistol round & first gun round, then your team is down 5 or 6-0, best you can do is 6-4...)

It's pretty obvious, that winning the pistol round gives you not 20% (3 of 15) of rounds, but 30% (3 of 10), what increases its importance by 10 percent.

Exactly as mr15 but with fewer rounds. The first team to reach 11 rounds is the winner, after a first half that consists of 10 rounds.

Why does everyone complain? I think this is interesting, teams need to completely change their game plan to make up for having 5 (or 10 in total) rounds less to win the game. The importance of a round is so much higher with this. Not saying this should be a default setting for all major tournament but I welcome it for being something different and fresh.

I means you switch side after 10 rounds = at 11 you win regular match is mr15, switch side after 15 rounds played, and first to reach 16 overall win. long ago in old times used to play mr12, first to reach 13 win but mr10 is just ridiculous

Despite the fact that yesterday the first digifest 2011 championship fight was delayed for five hours, even today, the final event promoters all stunned, pavirtindami information indicating that the major tournament finals will be played online. As stated by the tournament organizers, the solution was determined after one of the representatives of Lithuania, by implementing some sort of computer programs to finally crash your computer, and administrators digifest 2011 to replace the computer does not have to. Soon, they confirmed that the event ends, and the finals will be played on the great online mode, it is out of the house. :DDDDDD

I think the next move by digifest will be the utilisation of non-steam cs

Reminds me of TheRush tournaments they used to hold online in the US...MR10 and 1:00 roundtime different but exciting...the problem with most people is that even if Digifest just changed the game for the better with MR10 it would never be recognized because all people do in this community is criticize everything....thats why ProMod will never take off and CS will be dead within 1.5 years

10 extra rounds equates to maybe 20 minutes, i dont see how an extra 20 minutes is really going to make a difference.
