Deathwish to use REASTEN at Xperia

Steffen "phnien" Willumsen has informed HLTV.org that his team will have to use Kenneth "REASTEN" Kristiansen for the upcoming Copenhagen Games event.

The unfortunate news comes less than two weeks before the event is scheduled to take place, and is a result of the recent illness Martin "hellzerk" Solbakken has been struggling with.

Solbakken has caught infectious mononucleosis, also colloquially known as kissing disease, and a lung infection apparently so severe that the young player has been put into hospital.

"We have known that hellzerk has been ill for quite long, and we all have hoped that he was on the way to get rid of his illness, but today he got the phone call we all didn't want to hear", Willumsen told HLTV.org.

The team is, however, still set to make an appearance later this month, and have called upon their former teammate Kenneth "REASTEN" Kristiansen to fill the void created by Solbakken.

"But that doesn't mean we won't go, so the old Deathwisher Kenneth "REASTEN" Kristiansen will be travelling with us to do some damage!"

Willumsen added that the absense of Solbakken will affect the team, but reassured that they will do whatever is possible so that they are fully prepared for the upcoming event.

"Considering we have practiced for a long time with hellzerk this will affect us in some way, but we will do our best to prepare ourselves the last days before Copenhagen Games."

The Norwegian team will therefore still attend the Xperia PLAY tournament at Copenhagen Games, between 21-24 April, where they will display the following:

Martin "zenith" Hansen
Kenneth "REASTEN" Kristiansen

that man is serious ill and you guys still give a f... about them traveling to Xperya, sheesh, a lung infection is always something quite serious, it can lead to death if not treated correctly! Wish the best to hellz!

mononucleosis is not such a serious disease, yes it requires long-term treatment and your liver after recovery looks like you've been drinking for 30 years, but it's not lethal. the problem is that he's gonna be on a diet without alcohol, cigaretts, fatty foods for maybe half a year :D

i did not speak of mono, i just said about lung infection, mono usually comes without complications, but when they occur it means something is not quite that simple about the illness.

He is actually quite awesome. He plays football actively along with his passion for snowboard. Probably the most awesome dude in the elite of norwegian cs along with m1kkis.

ya i've had monoucleosis. some people are ok in a week, some people lie in their beds for months. usualy it's ok in 3-4 weeks, but untill then you are NOT able to play xD gl

He has been off work for a fair while now due to the sickness. He has still however felt well enough to continue playing for both us and the national team. We had hoped that he would be better in time for Copenhagen, as much as he wants to travel to Copenhagen to play health comes way before gaming. Get better soon Martin <3
