ASUS Spring announced with $10,000

The organization behind the ASUS tournaments has announced details surrounding their Spring event, which will see a $10,000 prize purse for Counter-Strike.

ASUS Spring 2011 will take place from 27-28 May, once again at the Kiev CyberSport Arena, same location as ASUS Winter.

The Spring edition will once again see a total of 32 participating teams and will feature a 275,000 rubles prize purse (close to $10,000), which is 25,000 less compared to the Winter edition. The breakdown of how much will go to first place is yet to be announced.

Teams from Russia and Ukraine will once again be able to qualify via online and offline qualifiers, where they will be able to win a paid trip to the event in Kiev. Moscow Five are the current champions, meaning they are directly qualified and will not have to play the qualifiers.

Moscow Five already qualified for ASUS Spring

Any teams outside the CIS area wanting to attend the event, should send an email to [email protected] in order to get in line for an invitation.

Prove that you're better then me faggot. I'm not mad worth two cents. In fact I do care about this events because I'm a e-sports fanatic unlike you and I give two shits about the CS scene and I want it to keep living so that the CS sene dosen't die out but yes. they don't have to be awesome as long as they have a huge prizepot it's all good.

I think he just meant that these events are really good for esport, but they are not "grand slams", like in tennis.... I also consider these events really helpful for esport, especially ASUS series, as they are not one-year tournament, but 4 tournaments in a year for the long time... I would disagree with Tyler, since now not only WCG, ESWC and IEM are awesome... Now eSeoul MSI Beat can be considered awesome with price purse near 54k euros...

Yeah I call those events awesome is there any problem? And don't call me son please, from the way you behave I would say that you are like...5 years old? Yeah maybe ASUS isn't a big event like WCG but it's still awesome, the event don't have to be big to be AWESOME. But unfortunately you're too stupid to understand that and it's very easy to argue with stupid people.. :(
