Lions & mTw complete ICSC 8 list

Lions and mTw are the final two teams for the upcoming season eight of Intel Challenge Super Cup.

Two days ago the organizers of ICSC added eleven names to the participants list for the eighth season. Two spots were yet to be handed out, before we would know the entire list of participants.

The organizers have today announced Swedish team Lions, who went out in the second group-stage at Xperia PLAY, will join ICSC 8. Danish mTw, who recently shared 3rd/4th-place with RG-Esports at Xperia PLAY, claim the last spot in the league.

The participating teams for the eighth ICSC season are:

The teams will be drawn into eight groups of four teams, in which every side will play each other twice. The top two from each group will progress to a second group stage, which will feature four groups of four teams. The top eight teams from this stage, two per group, will advance to the LAN finals, at the Kiev CyberSport Arena.

The group draw is expected to take place this weekend, most likely on Sunday.

this is good for the counter-strike 1.6 scene. we needed a new online tournament similar to IEM/EC that would provide the fans with weekly tournaments. the 1st group stage might not be so spectacular but the 2nd group stage will feature the 16 best teams divided into 4 groups. then the list of teams will probably look something like this: NaVi FX mTw SK M5 fnatic Lions RG-Esports TCM Virtus.pro USSR DTS OK x6tence ESC Gaming Alternate/Deathwish

why so many swedish teams? I know that they are the best CS nation but since ICSC focuses more on Eastern Europe it would be fair to invite a team from Lithuania and one Estonian team, for example reset & aNimus or nOu btw ICSC need to expand the list of participants, it would be the best solution
