Deathwish cease operations

Deathwish have announced they have decided to cease all active operations, resulting in alchemists picking up their Counter-Strike squad.

The termination comes less than two weeks after Xperia PLAY 2011, where the squad posted a mediocre result, following the disappointment of not making it out of the first group stage.

According to what HLTV.org understands, a communication channel between the players and alchemists Unleashed had been established a few days ago.

No official statement regarding the closure of Deathwish has been released, other than the organization's IRC channel informing about the decision.

Meanwhile, alchemists Unleashed now seem to have found the team consisting of only Norwegian players they talked about when they lost their their team in late March.

No real statement has been released from alchemists either, but their IRC channel was recently updated with a topic stating the snaring of Deathwish's former CS and DotA squads.

alchemists Unleashed now have:

Norway Michael "m1kkis" Sokki
Norway Martin "hellzerk" Solbakken
Norway Steffen "phnien" Willumsen
Norway Martin "zenith" Hansen
Norway Bernard "serpen" Kvalvik

The team alchemists boasted at Xperia PLAY, which contained Ola "elemeNt" Moum, was only a one-time thing and has been dissolved as planned.

CS scene is the quickest changing scene in all of sports.

What is a sport then? E-sports has everything: competition, players, fans, dedication, hard work and training, money, events, sponsors etc. Looks like sports to me.

Maybe because you should have to move your ass in a sport? And don't pull the chess-card on me, I personally don't consider that as a sport either.

But what about chess? :D Get it to your head, this old school moving your ass sport is only a stereotype. We live in the XXI century, things evolved. And before you acuse me of being nolife nerd or whatever I gotta news: I do sports (bouldering, muay thai) so I know what you mean by your definition of sports. But let's face it. E-sport has become a sport.

Well, I grew up learning that sport equals activity. One thing is for sure: The Olympics will never have a computer game in their schedules. But let's just agree to have different opinions.

well congratz for attending an random iq test. even kids could get a higher iq quote than you :D if you really think you can measure smartness/intelligence in numbers than you are pretty smart overall :D just to be serious: was it your first time that you did one? how about attending another one? i know i know its pretty boring but do it. i bet you will not get the same amount again :D maybe higher maybe lower :-)

Did the first one in school when I was 14, in addition of many other tests, because my parents were worried about my bad grades. It turned out I was just the 2cool4school kind of guy(which is stupidity in itself). The second one was last year with some friends when we were really bored. We did it at the national Mensa site. I scored 117 in that one as well. I'm now expecting a "cool story bro" comment:D

You are obviously a fucktard if you think IQ can be calculated. Human intelligence varies in so many ways accurately calculating it CURRENTLY, is impossible.

I never said that IQ tests are accurate, did I? If the margin of error is 2-3, I'd still say it's a functional calculation for finding out one's logical intelligence. But there are of course other kinds of intelligence, like you said, that doesn't necessarily involve logics. Like social intelligence for instance. All those MENSA people that base their membership on these tests are obviously fucktards as well, right? Who's the fucktard again?

MENSA is a bullshit organisation of insecure narcissists. And no, margin of error is not 2-3 but alot more. Different IQ tests have different question patterns and again, because people differ you cant have a decent result out of that. I met a guy who is top of his class in the university of Berkley in astrophysics. He took an IQ test which had a different pattern of the ones he took before and he scored 96. The only thing IQ tests test is the ability of concentrating on a test.
