The fnatic PLAY tournament is over, with the tournament's hosts fnatic taking home the first prize after they defeated TCM-Gaming over two maps.

The final started off on de_nuke with fnatic able to secure a solid lead at the halftime break. TCM-Gaming hit back and they were able to mount a massive comeback but fell just short going down 16:14 to fnatic.

The second map de_inferno followed a similar trend, fnatic were able to start as the Counter-terrorists and build a lead of 13:2 at the break. This seemed to have taken the wind out of TCM-Gaming's sail, and nothing they could do could break the fnatic rampage. The match, and tournament, ended 16:2 to fnatic.

Virtus.pro and DTS were scheduled to play a third place match, however according to Fnatic.com DTS has been disqualifed.

"The 3rd place match saw an unfortunate event occur, DTS were disqualified for being unmannered towards the FnaticMSI PLAY organizers in public and private. Their disqualification will also carry on throughout any other FnaticMSI PLAY event, meaning that they are banned from all future events. With this being said, Virtus.Pro were rewarded the 3rd place spot by default." Fnatic.com

The statement went on to say, that since fnatic won the tournament, they will not be receiving any of the prizes, and TCM-Gaming and Virtus.pro will have their prizes upgraded.

"FnaticMSI handed their prizes down to 2nd place finishers TCM, which meant that Virtus.Pro walked away with 2nd place prizes. The 3rd place prizes will be decided this week, due to DTS being disqualified, they will not be receiving them." Fnatic.com

The final placings for fnatic PLAY were as follows:

2. TCM-Gaming - $500 + 5x MSI N560GTX Ti Twin Frozr II
3. Virtus.pro - $250 + 5x SteelSeries Kinzu
4. TBD - 5 SteelSeries 4HD

The history of the four solutions: Situation#1. The Train. We are for protection (CT) with the score 2-0, playing on the server, where we have no rcon'a. In the game against TCM people kept getting kicked off the server by EAC randomly, unfortunately this was mainly the DTS players, and several times 2-4 of them disconnected at the same time which obviously really fucks up your money/flow in the game. Why they are complaining about the fnatic admins I don't know, maybe they didn't pause the server in time and they had to play some rounds without 5 players.

well he and his teammates were kicked by EAC several times, which prolonged they game with TCM, ruined their economics etc etc. They had to switch servers two times due to ddos or something. So he was a bit disappointed. Though it's not fnatic's fault and he had to behave.

stupid fnatic, yes it's an online tournament but it was a horrible organization of games, at least where dts played. always delays, players were dropped, some random retard kept joining... simply painful to watch. dts was one of the strongest teams in the tournament and fnatic simply bans them instead of taking responsibility for technical problems. I wonder how pissed fnatic players would be if they went through the same conditions. Whatever, there are many better tournaments out there.

You need to be aware of that DTS were sitting at a internet café and the it was DTS server aswell so the player that came in probably came from the internet café. Atleast he was with DTS because he kept on joining even when they changed the password. It was a good tournament according to me, except the delays between TCM and DTS.

Anyone who says "manne is inet king", well.. DTS got "favored" so many times, during their EAC problems, and TCM had huge problems playing on the DTS server, and then DTS still managed trash talking? I can't say what's wrong and what's right. But that, in my opinion, is a terrible way to handle the situation. When people express their frustration openly, they usually know what the consequences are.
