USSR join Na´Vi in semi-final two

USSR will meet Natus Vincere in the second semi-final of the ASUS Spring 2011. The match is scheduled to be played on stage after the Moscow Five vs DTS match.

In Na´Vi's quarter-final they went up against their compatriots selectah on a very unfamiliar de_nuke. selectah were able to mount some serious pressure and took the map all the way to a second overtime, before succumbing to their rivals, and went down 22-18.

After a agonising overtime loss, selectah seemed to lose momentum and slumped to a second map loss on de_train 16-4. Na'Vi taking the match two maps to nil.

In the other quarter-final, zNation went up against USSR, another one nation grudge match. zNation got off to a great start in the series defeating USSR right at the very end, to grab a narrow 16-14 win on de_train.

USSR were able to reply swiftly on de_tuscan, with a convincing 16-9 victory and would now see the match head to a third and final deciding map.

Third map de_inferno would prove to be the final assault for both teams, as USSR took a commanding 10-5 lead at the half. The second half saw USSR take the required six rounds to book their place in the semi-final. USSR defeated zNation two maps to one.
