DreamHack hits Mediterranean

The DreamHack organisation has announced that Valencia will play host to the first Regional Final.

This is the first DreamHack on Tour event unveiled by organisation, who have announced several changes to the way its international qualifiers are run.

Instead of National Partners, DreamHack will from now on have Regional Partners, who will organise online qualifiers in several countries, and then one big LAN event with the top representatives from each tournament.

Spanish company Canales Corporativos is the first DreamHack Regional partner, and it will organise online qualifiers in four different countries: Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.

The top two representatives from each qualifier in Counter-Strike 1.6, StarCraft II and Super Street Fighter IV are automatically through to the Mediterranean Regional Finals, which will be played at the America's Cup Building, also known as Veles e Vents, in Valencia, from 16-17 September.

"For us it’s an honour, a pleasure, to have the opportunity to work again with DreamHack. This time our enthusiasm has grown along with our duties and we are ready to bring the real DreamHack experience to all Mediterranean Countries", said Arturo Castello, CEO of Canales Corporativos.

The winner of the Mediterranean Regional Final will qualify for DreamHack Winter, which will be held from 22-25 November.

"get out of here" is a common expression to express that you can't believe what you are told (or in this case, reading). I don't think he meant that the DH people should get out of France :)

Seems you know better than me what I understand and what not, and that I can not ask or wonder. You should watch your language as your derogatory attitude is not welcome at this site. There will be no further warning on this.

It seems so yeah, well thats all of your argumentation considering your English... Well it doesnt say that im wrong, its only your hope, but thats not concrete enough to convince me! I'll watch my language and when im not welcome here anymore, i see it as a loss for hltv, because you guys depend on a community, in which im part of (if you like it or not) a warning is something i dont care of in this case so grabbing to your internet powers doesnt work either all there is left now is an advice for you that you can take or dont take, but stop irritating people with your so-called 'sanctions', because it doesnt help HLTV.org but it kills it have a nice one

What would be the point of an argument with someone who knows better than me? As far as my experience has shown me, it is just a waste of time though still funny to meet someone like you from time to time, yes, even for 'my English'. If you consider that derogative users are a loss to this site you might have gotten the picture all wrong. They are not a loss but are invited to leave and never come back. And if they stay those 'internet powers' will take care of them for the sake of the rest of the users of this site. I always appreciate an advice but when it is offered by someone whose behaviour has lead to one of those 'irritations with so-called sanctions' I do not know if it is actually quite some bad joke. You can believe whatever you want but if not expressed with respect we will most likely meet again.

Well Algarve does "border" with both the Athlantic Ocean an the Mediterranean Sea, so you might be able to consider, region only, a Mediterranean one. But Southwest Europe is more accurate.

As far as I see it the Strait of Gibraltar is what marks the 'entrance' to the Mediterranean. Hope this 'fail start' by DH does not affect the competition ;D As for Southwest Europe, see #29.

You can't compare like that ! Because I thought like other 95% of ppl that HSBG will win Kaspersky gaming festival in Belgrade, and they didn't. On balkan there are many teams who can play cs very good but they don't have sponsors. And qualis for DH would be great to guys from balkan. They would get some motivation ,and maybe they start practice.

its cause italians doesnt care about videogames, an italian thinks that someone playing videogames is a looser, and he thinks that playing soccer, watching stupid tv shows and fucking some chick is the best thing in the world xD

Because in Italy most people go out because the weather is so nice, go to beaches, clubs, bars, etc not like Sweden where its cold and shitty out 90% of the time so they stay in and play video games, same reason why teams from Spain, Portugal, Italy are never as good. Italians are way more into sports and outdoor activities most kids just dont play video games competitively at all its not part of their life.
