CPH Games 2012 expand by one day

Copenhagen Games have announced that their 2012 event will take place April 4-8, spanning one day longer than the 2011 event.

The 2011 edition of Copenhagen Games, where the Xperia PLAY Counter-Strike tournament took place, ended up having major delays and in the end had the Grand Final finalized at 05:00 in the morning.

Prior to the 2011 event, the major concern was the schedule, would it stick or would it crash and burn. The tournament did reach the end, but with the major delays, it seems as the organizers have learned from it and added another day for their 2012 event.

The 2012 event will last for five days: April 4-8 and will once again take place at Øksnehallen in the heart of Copenhagen. The organizers expect the prizes for their 2012 event to be on the same level as the 2011 event, which featured a €20,000 prize purse for Counter-Strike.

There was a NON-BYOC SC2 tournament at CPG where the computeres did'nt work very well. Aswell for the computers at the scene where the final should have been played.

The SC2 players did'nt bring their own, it was the event hosters who provided this. The cs-players brought their own computers, but finals etc. were played on stage with computeres provided by the event hosters. These computers did'nt work at all.

Nice , I've spent 19 str8 hours watching cs last time ...by the time of the final i had eyes like footballs and when I went to sleep I dreamt crosshairs all morning :)

The damn amount of days were not the problem... Not that i wouldnt liek another day, but honestly... we starteed groupplay at 19 in the evening.. i mean? why not start at like 12 or so...
