WCG Germany at gamescom

The final stages of the German WCG qualifier will take place in Cologne at gamescom, the largest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment in Europe.

On August 18-21, the German representatives for this year's World Cyber Games will be found when gamescom will play host to the German national finals.

The organizers of the German WCG qualifier today announced the location and dates, but mentioned nothing about the schedule, the games or the qualifying process.

Germany did not send a Counter-Strike team to the 2010 finals in Los Angeles, supposedly due to budget cuts from sponsors. Whether the organizers have found the funding to once again ship a German Counter-Strike team to WCG, should be announced shortly, as they expect to release more details soon.
