ESC Gaming top Group D
The final group of GameGune 2011 has just finished, with ESC Gaming coming out on top over Moscow Five to claim the top spot.
As most people predicted, the battle between Moscow Five and ESC Gaming would determine who would finish on top. ESC managed to comfortably dispatch Moscow Five 22-8 on de_nuke and finish top of Group D.

ed1k not happy with his teams loss to ESC Gaming
However ESC did not have it all so easy, after dropping a match to LowLandLions with the same scoreline on de_train they would still finish top above Moscow Five. Although LowLandLions managed to take the scalp of ESC Gaming, their loss to DN-Gaming could have proven to be costly as both teams ended up with 9 points.
However, after a long debate, the admins decided that DN-Gaming and LowLandLions will play an MR5 overtime to decide who will go through in 3rd place, as the rulebook was unclear on that topic. The issue was whether head-to-head should be the main criteria or overall round difference in the group, but it ended up being neither and the teams will face each other again.

x-function and lagunak were left to fight for the wooden spoon of Group D, with x-function getting the better of lagunak 16-13 on de_dust2 to ensure they didn't finish last in the group.
