Global Challenge Guangzhou revealed

The ESL has announced that the second Global Challenge of the Intel Extreme Masters season six will take place in Guangzhou, China.

Season six of the Intel Extreme Masters will kick off with its first event next month, with the Global Challenge Cologne, which will be staged at the gamescom expo. The event will however not feature Counter-Strike, as it will clash with e-Stars Seoul.

Today the ESL revealed the second Global Challenge, which is going to take place in Guangzhou, China. The Global Challenge will be featured at the Ani-Com & Games expo and will run October 1-5. The Global Challenge will also feature all three of the IEM game titles: Counter-Strike, StarCraft II and League of Legends.

This will be the first appearance of Counter-Strike in season six and the Global Challenge will feature $40,000 in prizes for the popular FPS game, as well as two spots for the World Championship for the first place and runner-up. Qualifiers for the Global Challenge will be announced very soon.

On the IEM website the splash screen still has four events to be announced: North America, Europe, South America and World. World is expected to be the World Championship, which is expected to once again take place at CeBIT in Hannover, March 2012.

Stay tuned to find out more about the Global Challenge in Guangzhou, as well as qualifiers, and the remaining Global Challenges.

You realize tyloo and Wemade FOX have almost an identical playstyle. You can see them stealing each other strats all the time. The only difference is that WMF guys sprayed more, while the Chinese tap a little more. Other than that they are almost identicle to watch.

wNv's fast approach and aggressive CT strats are largely responsible for how the game has developed over the last 3/4 years.

basically, allmost all asian teams play with a very agressive style, as CT & T. the thing is wmf showed more aimskills than tyloo lately, but chinese can hit their shots too, and they're incredible to watch when they're onfire, that's what i meant to say.

i dnno why mate i mean they are pretty agressive i just don't like to see them there aim is so far off sometimes imo i think i'd rather see a bad forest then a good tyloo or wnv or korean team ... only my opinion though :)

that's kidding, after these two guys retirement, only one big international event invited Tyloo but unfortunately kz got a visa prob. and couldn't go abroad, so they didn't go to iem5 wc, estar is his nest opportunity but it's mainly based on its fame and old history achievements, i'am sad that our province team doesn't own both compared to Tyloo, but judging from the two events Tyloo attends, we team ain't get an oppurtunity even to compete for, but wcg 2011 cs China final, we team get a chance and u guys could be refreshed of the mind who is at the peak on China cs arena hahaha v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjcxMjQ3MzUy.html plz look at this , look at this ....... holy sickkkkkkk!

CS will not die.StarCraft has been replaced with StarCraft so imo CS will be replaced with CS2. StartCraft was released in 2000 and StarCraft 2 in 2010,cs 1.6 was realesed 2003 so i guess CS2 will come out in 2013/14. :D

Ok I'll be going to this one. I will try and interview some players and put it up on HLTV... Because of the language barrier I often find that interviewing Chinese CS players doesn't seem to occur much, or becomes boring because it needs to go through three translators, but I should be able to do this one myself!
