A-Gaming Gets Ready for ESWC

For the second time in a row, the Ukranian team Amazing Gaming will attend ESWC.

In order to establish a picture of the tension in the top Ukranian team, HLTV.org sat down and had a word with the manager, Anna, from Amazing Gaming.

ESWC will be your second huge international event. How’s the mood in A-Gaming?

We attended ESWC 06, but weren’t so experienced and did have much attention.
Anyway, now we approximately know what to expect from the teams at ESWC 07 and since we had a lot of online practice with the different strong teams from Europe, We are feeling more assured.

What’s the goal for A-Gaming for ESWC this year?

Minimum top16 and maximum of what we can.

What are your opinions on ESWC lowering the total prize money this year?

I guess orgas has some problems with the sponsors this year. I really don’t think they wouldn’t make bigger prizes if they could.

Are there any particular trademarks to Ukrainian CS and in that case how does it differ from other countries’ style of play?

I guess no. I feel cs is like the same everywhere - to shoot well and to think logically.

How come is it that your team is capable to keep the same line-up for several months when some many other teams aren’t?

Because we think the stable lineup is the one of the success points, maybe other teams don’t think so… I don’t know.

Tell our readers a little about what A-gaming have achieved so far in 2007?
Not much yet. 2nd after forZe at Eastern European online league called Cyberfight cup.
1st at ESWC Ukraine and 1st at the Ukrainian Cybersports league finals
A bit unlucky ASUS spring cup (5-8 place), where we lost 69N-28E in a single playoffs
Playing playoffs of CB Eurocup eurocup is also a little achievement for us, coz its pretty hard to play online from here.

ESWC is soon to start and in order to perform the best the entire team has to be prepared mentally and gameish. How did you prepare?

We will have no special bootcamp, but we had a lot of practice and during upcoming two weeks will have even more. Also the team is attending all possible lan events.

Amazing Gaming have been a huge player in the Eastern European community and have lately proved them self on the international scene. Even though Anna being quite modest about the teams expectations, Amazing Gaming could be the huge suprise at this years ESWC.
