The brackets for the final European IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou qualifier have been drawn, the three European teams for the Chinese event will be found on Sunday.

Eight teams have made it to the final qualifier for IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou and will duke it out in a double-elimination bracket, playing best-of-one map.

Three slots for Guangzhou will be up for grabs, the first two slots will be granted to the two teams to reach the upper-bracket final, while the third slot will go to the team winning the lower-bracket final.

ESL announced the brackets for the qualifier, giving us the following matchups in round one:

fnatic	vs.	Soltec
Hardware4u	vs.	TCM-Gaming
Lions	vs.	mousesports
WinFakt	vs.	Electronic Sahara

The qualifier will begin at 15:00 on Sunday and the most interesting matchup for round one would be the clash between mousesports and Lions. Lions are in a bit of turmoil, as they will be in Kiev this weekend, where they will attend ASUS Summer.

The Swedes have approached tournament organizers and have been promised PC's for the match, question is if they will be able to play the match, should they still be in the running at ASUS Summer, as the organizers have stressed they will not change their schedule in order for Lions to play the Guangzhou qualifier.

Where can I read "there will be no final match"? Can't find it. As far as I know those kind of matches use to be played anyways to determine the seed order. Don't jump at people without rock solid facts to back you up, you'll just end up standing in the corner ashamed with your pants at your knees.

It's not their problem that Lions play the Guangzhou qualifier, so I totally understand they won't flex their schedule.

provided we dont have DELAYS on the opening day. if the tournament is on schedule all the time then dey shouldn't wait for LIONS match. dont u think? but if lions are to qualify for GC then i guess they have to play 4 matches atleast?

No system ever works, there are always excuses...bo3 for example...if the maps are predetermined every1 says shitty org etc....if the maps are chosen by elimination, every1 complains this and that team are not practicing this and that map :D

fnatic > Soltec I don't think Soltec can regain their previous shape and fnatic is getting better every event. fnatic has the support to be sent to Guangzhou so I'm sure they are sincerely interested in attending the global challenge in Guangzhou and will therefor show their a-game. Hardware4u < TCM Hardware4u playing with 2 danes who will definitely make sure this will not be an easy victory for TCM. I expect a close game but finally TCM will get on top. lions > mousesports mousesports always struggling internationally. even with gob b, I expect this to be no different. lions had plenty of time to regain a better shape and should be good enough to at least beat mousesports. winfakt < esahara 100% french teams always win against finnish teams and often upset danish teams. not to mention the fact that winfakt is terribly overrated.

I dont know Lions has been very low since they lost Xist to fnatic. Now getting threat back could help them alot. On the other hand Mouz has been shitty since 2008 and I belive they'll pracc as hell to this event. My vote gose to Mouz ..
