It is time for Louisville update

On the 21st to 24th of June WSVG will visit the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, USA. WSVG announced earlier this year, that three out of their total of six events this year would feature a CS 1.6 tournament. That being Louisville, China and the last an undecided European event.

The CS 1.6 tournament has a total of $30,000 in cashprizes this time. 32 teams will be competing against each other in groupplay and then double elimination. The prize money is split like this:

1st: $13,500
2nd: $9,000
3rd: $4,500
4th: $3,000

Four of the 32 teams will be European, the remaining 28 is American. A teamlist will be added when released and complete, but for now the four European teams are:

69N-28E
Mousesports

Update: SK just announced that they will also be at the event.

The top 3 WILL be NiP, N69 & Mouz in some order, if I were to guess #1 N69, #2 NiP & #3 Mouz. N69 has had a solid start for this year, and they just held a week long bootcamp. NiP on the other hand has been.. Well if not weak then at least disappointing (they barely beat some of the weaker swedish teams at ESWC Sweden and lost to Begrip), and mouz has been a failure so far. No LAN results AT ALL from all of '07. But who knows, NiP might surprise me, or maybe even some American team, although I highly doubt that (Americans don't usually stand a chance against Europeans).

American's CS is not as good as the european's now... All the nice teams turned to source.. SOURCE IS A VIRUS AND IT'S SPREADING!

Seems that Sk just *found* some freetime in their year schedule :D ;) Final NiP - SK, map: de_cbble Your 2nd chance SpawN lol Maybe Inari may come up as a outsider though they play 1 good 2 horrible... NiP appears very solid lately...and who knows what will happen with SK after some butt slapping from bds xD

I think Mouz or 69N28E will prove their worthy of winning this tournament, they are both 2 xtremely good teams with the best of the best when it comes to players.. hopefully they will get a little lucky when it comes to performing and win this tournament. NiP & SK are also worth mentioning.. but I think they have claimed enough titles in the past, so I hope for someone else to win. Convention, I just have to wish you really good luck since with all my heart I think you will need it. Perhaps some of the american teams attending; Check-Six mugNmouse Turmoil Desire 2 Excel can surprise, everything is possible with good motivation & dedication, at least at this high level. =)
