e-Stars round 1 complete

The first round of e-Stars 2011 has just finished and eight teams will now move through to the Upper-bracket. The other eight teams will be relegated to the Lower-bracket and are now only one map away from elimination.

In the first set of matches, TyLoo and x6tence took to the stage. TyLoo showed their stage match experience and easily took the match 16-4 over x6tence. Both Natus Vincere and defending champions Frag eXecutors also made light work of local teams ONEPIECE and Spero Spara.

In the closest game of set, mousesports were able to just edge out winFakt in a intense match that finished 16-13 to mousesports.

The second set featured project_kr and UMX.us on stage. This turned out to be great match with project_kr coming out on top 16-13. The other three matches went as expected with SK, fnatic and mTw all cruising into round 2 with easy wins and minimal rounds lost.

With round one now complete, the bracket will now focus on the Upper-bracket round one matches. These matches were scheduled to start at 09:00 however, it looks like some of them could be moved forward and start closer to 08:15 .
