defs win EPT Summer Cup

Meeting k1ck in the final, Defining Stars were able to defeat the team who were once Portugal's top representatives.

With both teams placed on opposite sides of the bracket, and with DoW's early victory over Madjick in the first round of the playoffs, the match was highly anticipated by Portuguese spectators.

While k1ck might have been the most favored team in the clash, Defining Stars managed to overcome them on two maps, sealing the victory with scorelines of 16-8 and 16-9 on de_dust2 and de_train, respectively.

EPT Summer Cup final standings:

1. Defs - €450 + Spot at DreamHack on Tour Valencia
2. k1ck - €225 + Spot at DreamHack on Tour Valencia
3. GTZ - €135
4. exotic - 5x Zowie G-TF

Both defs and k1ck have earned slots for DreamHack on Tour Valencia, which will see six more teams competing for a paid spot for DreamHack Winter later this year.

k1ck are using the same strats from along time, in gamegune 2010 they used the same pistol at nuke and train at all matchs lol anyway was lack of time to train

k1ck need to have a month or smthg training all day together to have the same teamplay and the same skills they had some months ago, if they do that, they will win to defs! yeah but the main problem is their registration fee.. in portugal this costs 75€ (most of them) to one team. some of teams of other countries can't afford 75€ for one tournament :\

The truth is this. Nothing lasts forever, and K1CK now is top2. I like k1ck, defs wtv, call me fanboy, dont give a damn about that. Defs is a known for their hard work. Team 1.6 trains hardly, and when i say hard, its the truth. As we all know, almost every player from K1CK works/studies, and the proff of that, is that fox didn't showed up in the first day of group stage because of work. I would like to see if K1CK train just like defs are training in these days, we would have two teams who could do more damage in international tournamentes (im not saiyng figthing for the 1º place) and in pt events, we would have the indisputed teams fighting to know who's the best current team in our pt scene. Keep.

ofcourse it's like that in every country, so many talented players who have what it takes out there, but who are not motivated because of the lack of sponsorships/LANs/prizes in their country, or because school/work has to be prioritized :(

The truth is that k1ck realy dont train.. I think they can olny practice together for like 2 hours a day max.. its the window between fox getting off work and axon going to his or something.. I've seen it in cocachi interview in GG 2011.. Soo it realy is a bit hard to them to play as well has we are used to.. but great job by defs anyway! rmn godlike!
