DTS tops WCG Ukraine

DTS have defeated KerchNET to win the Ukrainian WCG qualifier and will now receive an all expenses paid trip to World Cyber Games 2011.

The final started on de_inferno, with DTS starting as Terrorists. KerchNET showed amazing teamwork and seemed to stop anything DTS through at them, in the end securing a 10-5 lead at the half. DTS got off to a good start picking up the pistol round, and kept building momentum as the rounds went on, Alexey "xaoc" Kucherov was especially instrumental as he played a super second half making up for his poor performance as terrorists. DTS managed to win the eleven rounds needed in the second half, to win 16-12.

After a close first map, both teams moved onto de_tuscan, with KerchNET needing to win this map to stay in the final. Once again KerchNET got off to a great start as CT's this time making it 12-3 at the half. Just like de_inferno, DTS proved they are also a strong CT based team, managing to win the last few rounds to force it to Overtime 15-15.

In the overtime, both teams continued their domination of defending bomb sites, until eventually KerchNET found some attacking strategies that gave them the advantage they needed to take the map 22-18.

de_nuke was the third and final map to decide the winner of the WCG Ukraine qualifier. DTS started as CT's for the first time and went straight to work picking up plenty of early rounds. KerchNET managed to rally and grab a few rounds late in the half, the score ending 10-5 in favour of DTS. DTS took the important terrorist pistol and quickly took the six rounds needed to win. Final score 16-6 to DTS.

its not unconcievable that navi could win or atleast make the final this year if they make it to wcg ....last year mtw almost didnt make it there...and they turned out great..

who won the last one and if their doing a 3rd slot then you have to give sweden a 3rd .
