WinFakt replace M5 in New York

WinFakt have been announced as the team to replace Moscow Five for the IEM6 Global Challenge New York.

ESL has announced that Finnish team WinFakt will replace Moscow Five for the IEM6 Global Challenge New York. WinFakt attended the final European qualifier for the event, but went out in round one, losing 1-2 against mousesports.

Out of the possible replacements for Moscow Five, WinFakt were the first to accept the invite, putting them in group B with SK Gaming, Temporary and semXorah.

WinFakt will have a busy October itinerary, as they will be at IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou, Samsung Euro Championship, IEM6 Global Challenge New York, Electronic Sports World Cup and digifest fall.

The event will hand out $40,000 in prize money with the winners taking home a hefty check of $16,000. HLTV.org will be on site to provide you full coverage of the IEM6 Global Challenge New York, which will take place October 13-16 at the Comic Con exhibition.

in other news: lurppis vs. fRoD and Storm ex Evil Geniuses battling it out. also the old EG guys vs the new EG (scabs). aslak vs. fRoD for which awper really gets to call lurppis "daddy". IEM needs a popcorn sponsor. temporary and Winfakt need fight songs for when they take the stage. there will be blood.

You'll see Winfakt vs TEMP but EG will be out of the tournament when they play SK in playoffs. Winfakt vs mTw EG vs SK SK vs mTw Grand Finals. Hey lurppis if you happen to come across this, what do you think about the new EG? They looked pretty sloppy and confused at ESEA to me and almost like any other team there. With the amount of talent they apparently have you would think they would at least play at a different level then most of the teams attending... Any insight would be great.

EG's the best team in NA, hands down. What makes them different than every other team in NA is that they are THE team that everyone wants to beat. even the "sloppy" EG still won the Finals last week. Every top player that doesn't consider EG their competition will admit to this. every other team at the ESEA LAN had one specific focus, to watch every EG demo possible, pay attention to how they scrim, and anti strat them at every possible chance they could manage, and they still couldn't pull off more rounds than EG. FG did beat them on mirage, but as semphis said, not one team scrimmed that map before the tournament. EG said in about every interview recently that they avoided running their actual strats in scrims. they ran around basically pugging ESEA, because that was their practice for IEM, and they don't want other teams getting any crucial demos of them before that. that's the reason they were putting up inconsistent rounds. basically, if youre gonna judge EG, do it after this event. I don't plan on seeing EG beat SK or mTw, but theres no justification to assume that backfire or temp are better than them. no other team in NA has done anything to suggest that they are better than EG, yet at least. backfire hasnt won a map against them on or offline, and temp lost 2-1 in the qualifiers for this, and both maps that temp lost were blowouts. hope that was good enough insight, but im just another spectator, so take from it what u will ;)

well their goal is to place top 3, as dRew said in the ESEA interviews, and thats realistic for them. they don't have to beat mTw or SK to do that, but any other team is beatable, and matches could go either way. EG could actually beat mTw by surprising them in group play. american teams have a tendency to pull big upsets in the group stage, but theyre definitely the underdogs. the old POV lineup (iruk, hero, mkpro, ninespot, savior) destroyed the old mTw a few years ago in LA (when it was whimp, mje, ave, zonic, and sunde). so yes, both parts of my statement can therefore be true ;)

at the time there were no top tier strat callers in the US that EG was interested in. lurppis had just publicly retired from gaming, and they paid to bring him here and use him for EG. his english is better than most americans, and it worked out really well for them for a while.

Placings in the final qualifier: 1-2. mTw 1-2. M5 3. SK 4. mouz 5-8. WinFakt, FX, Lions, Anexis ESL asked mouz, they declined. They then asked all the four teams who placed 5-8th and would have organized decider matches if anyone else had accepted, which they didn't.

Only when there is sponsorship!! Some serious practice and commitment Indian Team can do some shit In top tourney. I feel ATE Members are happy winning in National Level they dont have any further commitment.One of the largest democracy in world.Having more then 1.2 Billion population cant produce 5 good cs players is such a Shame .Any ways GL HF ATE ....:)
