Video: MAJ3R vs Fear Factory

Here is a highlight from the recent SEC 2011 event in Poland over the weekend featuring the eSahara star Engin "MAJ3R" Kupeli in his match against the local team of Fear Factory.

The round begins with Kupeli throwing a sky flash and picking up three quick kills. After his team-mate falls, he is able to quickly trade the frag and begin hunting his final victim. After throwing a clever grenade to sound check his opponent he quickly discovers him walking towards the middle pathway where he frags him, completing the ace.

YOU THOUGHT HE THREW HE-GRENADE TO NOT BE HEARD. NO! HE WAS FLASHED BY HIM TEAMMATE AND HE THREW FAST, HIS FIRST GRENADE. HE WALKED THEN KILLED.

because you haven't watched carefully this video. you thought he threw the grenade to avoid being heard, the truth is that MAJ3R was flashed by a teammate. MAJ3R got scared and threw his first grenade, which is a he. He went in Juliet and made a frag.

from what i thought is sometimes when you throw a nade the enemy makes a "uhh" sound which gives you an idea where the guy is.

i dont think so, because his crosshair placement makes it look like he didnt know where he was. Also, there is a guy in the "vent" watching the staircase, so i guess they had no clue where he was.

when you nade over a wall, you can hear a "noise" which tells you someone is below where you naded. You usually see it when the grenade over the roof of the "halls" or "apartments" or even over the B site wall in de_inferno. Or over the roof in de_dust2 "in upper dark"

In this case it wasn't a soundcheck. I think he was trying to cancel out the noise of going up the stairs in smallhouse with the noise of the nade.

Yea, I'm pretty sure you are right. I also believe he intended to cancel his sound movement going toward the window. The 2nd purpose of that grenade is to distract tomi for a split seconds just enough for majer to peek out the window and get the last frag. You can clearly hear the AK sound of tomi(his position) at 0:18-:019.

He didn't use that nade to soundcheck, or atleast he failed to do so I think... But still a very nice action for sure !

I think he used that sound of the nade to cancel out the noise of going up the stairs in smallhouse. Notice that as soon as you hear the explosion, he runs up the stairs.

I think he was flashed and thought it was a fb. I mean when he picked-up middle a teammate of him threw a flash and he got totally blind, and 2 seconds later he threw that grenade

That's not by any means a sound check imo, the guy couldn't get hit with this nade any way, i think it was just to cancel sound of him changing position, but sick frag nevertheless.
