WinFakt 2-0 UMX to reach grand final

WinFakt have made it into the Grand Final at the IEM6 Global Challenge with a 2-0 win against UMX.us in the semi-final.

The first match of the third day in New York has come to an end, with WinFakt advancing to the semi-finals after a rather easy win against UMX.us. The match started on de_tuscan with the Finns on the CT side. WinFakt were able to produce a solid lead going into halftime, leading 12-3. A single round was all UMX.us were able to score in the second half, as WinFakt secured the victory on map number one with a 16-4 scoreline.

On the second map, de_train, WinFakt once again started on the CT side and once again they had the lead at halftime, being up 10-5 as the teams changed sides. Once again, UMX.us were only able to win a single round in the second half, with WinFakt claiming further advancement in the tournament, winning 16-6 and 2-0 overall.

With the win, the Finns are now qualified for the Grand Final at the IEM6 Global Challenge New York, where they will face off against either SK Gaming or mTw, depending on which of the two will triumph in the second semi-final, coming up at 19:45 .

Indeed but it's not really the brackets fault either, it's an 8-team tournament and only 3 European teams had slots. It's a decent enough idea to have American teams and also an Asian one there but the Asians didn't show up and the Brazilian team was with 2 standins so it turned out to be a very weak field overall. The biggest dissapointment was definitely EG as I hoped they would at least put up a fight.
