BEASTS win MSR 2011

The biggest gaming portal in the Czech/Slovakia region, PLAYzone.cz organized the annual Championship of Slovakia CS 1.6 tournament on the weekend where BEASTS emerged as the surprise champions over fan favorite eSuba.

The event was split between Storm Game Club and NEXTGen Expo 2011 in Slovakia's capitol, Bratislava on the past weeked. A total of twenty teams attended that were placed in four groups of five, with only the top team moving on to the single elimination best-of-three stage.

In the first semi final the eventual champions BEATS met their fellow country men ONEFRAG and claimed a relatively easy 2-0 win on de_inferno and de_forge, losing a tota of twenty rounds between the two maps.

Second semi final was closer as eSuba took on myRevenge. oskar's team jumped on an early map lead by taking a 16-9 win on de_mirage. Second map was de_forge like in the first semi-final and myRevenge tied the score at one a piece after an overtime. Deciding map de_train and eSuba clinched a 16-11 win to advance to the grand final.

In the third place decider myRevenge picked up a quick 16-3 win in the first map on de_inferno. Second map was much closer as it took until overtime for ONEFRAG to go down.

The grand final ended up being surprisingly one sided as eSuba quickly went down 0-1 in maps after de_mirage which was BEASTS' map of choice. eSuba couldn't put up more resistance on their map either, as they only score three rounds despite starting as CTs and went on to lose 3-16.

1. BEASTS - €420
2. eSuba - €175
3. myRevenge - €105
4. ONEFRAG - Hardware prizes

This marks the second year in a row where eSuba didn't manage to win their regional championship event after placing fourth in the previous year when eXtatus managed to come out on top.

lol 420, 175, 105, hardware.. :D cut those in to five and its 84e per player for the first place etc.. i'd guess that hardware is more than 105euros 'coz normally there's 5 times some hardware and cant think of anything useful out of 21 euros of hardware :D

StaN is waaay much better with the green gun than guardian , so what hes good in CSS , its a shitty game where you aim to the foot and you shot a headshot -.- and Dev1 could come after a year of inactivity and own him.

GuardiaN was by far one of the most consistent class awpers in CSS on an international level.. is not even too much to call him one of the best ever - hope he will be succesfull in 1.6 - GL

btw it was BO3 ... first map mirage 16 6 for beasts(beasts started as CT, took 12 rounds) and nuke, 16 3 for beasts (beasts started as T on nuke, took 12 rounds)
