The rumours featuring Danny "zonic" Sørensen's search for a new team have been confirmed, as the Danish player will be replacing Thanh "ninja" Bui in the ranks of mousesports.

The speculation around the former mTw player has come to an end as it was revealed that Danny "zonic" Sørensen will be replacing Thanh "ninja" Bui in the team. Thanh, who was part of the team for a year, has decided to step down from professional gaming, in order to fully focus on his studies and business career.

The hype around the team started with a Facebook status update where it was announced that there would be changes in the line-up. You can read more about the rumours here.

Danny "zonic" Sørensen also gave a statement to the team's website:

"Today I join one of the biggest teams in Counter Strike history, Mousesports. After the closing of the mTw 1.6 I have been talking a lot with karrigan since I wanted to play with him for a long time. I have always admired the Mousesports organization for their hard work, and especially their great tactical leader gob-b. Mousesports and mTw reminded each other so much when it came to the tactical part of Counter Strike, so it is a privilege to be standing besides these 4 great guys and hopefully I can be a part of getting even more success to the team. Mousesports is known for some of the greatest eSports players ever. Names such as gob b, Johnny R, kapio, cyx etc. is making me even more proud to call myself a mouz player!"

Although Thanh will no longer be an active player, he will still be part of the organisation as the new official CS 1.6 coordinator as well as the team's substitute alongside Franz "gore" Burghardt. Meanwhile, Manuel "Tixo" Makohl has decided to play as an active player in the next ESL Pro series, leaving mouz, in which he was a substitute, to focus in another project.

since 3/5 players have to be german or at least live in germany to participate in the EPS it would be difficult to play with 3 or 4 danes :P don't think they wanna move to germany and mouz will always play EPS!

lol you're out of your mind if you think gob-b is a better igl than carn. If you think fragging ability is so important for an igl leader, then ed1k, zues and robban should be the 3 best igls in the world. However as it stands, the best igl's in the world are the guys whom can read the enemy, and lead their team to victory. Thats why carn, ave and arcadion are the best igl's there are. P.S. I think your confusing tactics with in-game leadership.

If you would have watched the last german eps finals and would understand the language you would change your opinion in a second. Gob b was able to predict what the opponent team was doing/planned to do even before the match commentator was able to recognize it in several rounds. He's just incredible in reading the game and I really doubt that there are many other comparable IGLs around in CS. If there was no gob in mousesports, the team would be less succesfull as he overtakes most part of communication and strats so that the other guys can fully concentrate on their own play. Additionally he is also good at fragging which makes him more outstanding in my opinion.

just because he is good, does not mean he is better. No offense, but EPS finals is a joke compared to playing top teams. Carn Edik Robban Zues Ave Arcadion etc etc would have a field day in predicting EPS teams too. Gob B's stats vs good teams are unimpressive to that of other IGLs whom can actually frag. His overall rating gets boosted via EPS, which is kind of a joke.

I hate carn as a fan. I respect him as a player. Carn has won time and time again, ever since he joined fnatic. The fact people overlook his talent, achievements and what he brings to the team is fucking ridiculous. His results speak for themselves. I have been playing and following cs for 10 years, and am certain that i am more educated and knowledgeable about cs than you are. If you really want me to break it down to you, I will. Ave and Arcadion: Better tactics than gob, and are far more patient and in control of their games than gob-b ever was. They are both worse fraggers however. Carn: Worse tactician, and the best in game reader and caller. What he lacks in fragging, he makes up in intelligence. Overall a better tactician than gob-b Robban: Great motivational leader, keeping the teams morale high and is a good fragger. Overall, worse than gob-b Ed1k: Best fragger out of all top IGLs, and a great tactician. His in game calling and reading capabilties are very lackluster, often losing his team the games. On par or worse than gob-b. Zeus: Very good fragger by IGL standards, and a very good reader of the opposing team. He counter strats his opponent with great effectivness. Also one of the most clutch IGLs along with Carn. Overall, better than gob-b. Threat: The most well rounded IGL. Has good tactics, good reads, good calls, and good fragging capability. However he lacks consistency. Overall worse than gob-b. I could go into the days with element; vesslan; xeqt; or even include the up and rising igls such as pronax, but there really is no point. I dare you to prove me wrong. get a clue before you call some1 new to the scene.

Amusing, I too am an electronics engineer. Funny coincidences in the world sometimes. And the fact that I have been playing cs for more than 10years was not stated to bolster my ego. It was aimed at the illeterate romanian responding to me, whom still thinks "most well rounded" is an ungrammatical term. Back on point, i have attempted to provide sufficient reasoning for my opinion, with excellent counter-arguments to that of the others debating my ideology. In return everyone else has called me a moron, and simply stated gob-b the best IGL, and an amazing fragger with no reasoning behind their rants. One cannot manifest something as fact, without having their thesis in correlation with rational truth. Self-deception 101. mTw was my favorite team ever since i started watching the cs scene :) so it`s only natural for me to switch team allegiance when a monster like zonic joins other team :d

This is the headline we have been w8ing for the past weeks / Month, since mTw releast their cs team. Where were everyone wanna go. Ave, and Minet put an ent to their carrier, Accardion, has team'd up with Warzon and some others, Trace is still free in the market. And Zonic is finaly signed by Mouz. Now leaving Trace free on the market, will ofc get many speculations. Most of the people want's him to join Mouz for zonixx. Trace said that he is not going to Germany. And why would Mouz kick zonixx ? They've just got him, and he has played very good and he still young. No reason to replace him. Altought, it would be better with Trace :)

it would probably be an unstopable line up with trace ,but mouz would become more like a Danish team and they are legends in German EPS. The German fans wouldn't like it , I guess. Trace could play with moddi ? As barrbar said they'll come back stronger then ever :D

This is bullshit, tixo chose to step back from international progaming, Kapio did not want to compete on a high level neither, Karrigan speaks German perfectly and Zonic will learn it pretty fast. Mtw focuses on different games, probably we will see a CS:GO squard in nearer future, who knows. I think doubts that WCG 2012 in CS 1.6.-sector will take place are very appropriate, so no need to stick to a one-nation squad any more, so why not thying something international?

wcg next yearsneeds to change their rules about the teams.we now have lots of international teams and it would be a pity if they cant play at wcg..anyways great and smart move by mouz they got an experienced player in their roster for those who dont know zonic participated at a huge number of finals and top4 placements he is stable since 2004 :) . i'm eager to see what other teams will do with transfers :)

Agree. Mouz lost many matches by leading the game and throw it away at the end, and loosing some stupit rounds. But besides that, they played very well, and it was going to the right direction, with so skilled and experienced players such as roman and go b b should know if it was going right or wrong :) Hope zonic can help then with the last thing, that is very ofthen needed :)

gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. honestly i dont think it will be that much of a change. zonic and ninja are pretty much the same players with the difference being zonics gigantic wealth of experience. but what they gain in experience, they lose in communication. so i doubt it will change much for mouz in the short-term, but in the second half of next year they should be a serious contender.
