As the ESL was unable to find an Asian representative for IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev, they have invited mousesports to fill in as a replacement in group B.

It had been rumoured since the European qualifier finished almost three weeks ago that neither EG or an Asian team would actually be able to attend the final event in Kiev, and ESL prepared for it by playing a seventh place decider.

Today the first replacement is announced as mousesports, who failed to qualify after losses against Moscow Five, fnatic and WinFakt. Ironically, mousesports is now sharing the group with the same three teams that knocked them out in the qualifier.

EG's participation is also at risk with Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan leaving the team just a couple of days ago and forcing them to forfeit out the current ESEA season. Should EG decide to not attend, next replacement in line would be Natus Vincere.

IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev will take place at CyberSport ARENA in the Ukrainian capital on January 19-22 with $40,000 up for grabs. HLTV.org will be on-site to bring you live coverage of the event.

I have this feeling that Na'Vi on home soil as well as Lions have a good chance to defeat SK. Na'Vi won last time and I think they will play even better from their home base (cybergeek arena). Lions is a super imba team when facing Swedish teams. They can rape both SK and fnatic and they can also get raped by either one.

this could easily turn out to be one of the most competitive tournaments of 2012 :) it's a real pitty that ESC are not attending, but we can't blame anyone. Funny thing is that DTS beats Na`Vi on a regular basis and if they beat them again things may get a little complicated...LIONS is not to be underestimated too, they have great players. Anyway group A at least has favorites, in group B all teams are so close to each other and any team can beat the other team. My guess is that Na`Vi and SK will top the A group and that mouz and fnatic will top group B

dude.. m5 only met mouz twice this year, both being online. first was at IEM 6 GC New York EU final qualifier ending up 2-1 for m5 and the other was the Kiev qual ending up 16-13 for m5. Only the last match was with zonic and was like a week after he joined mouz. edit: also they only met wf once..

how are they much better than mouz? check mouz lineup at the one u linked and still it ends up as 16-14. that means it was close as hell you know. now check mousesports lineup now, its waaaaaay better. but I am sure m5 are "much better" winning 16-13 against mouz when zonic had only played for em for a week. thing is m5 might be better than mouz and they did have a better year, but I doubt theyre much better, and the results you bring up doesnt prove your point either. lets see what happens now and maybe m5 will prove they are much better and maybe they wont
