CB NationsCup XV groups drawn

With the qualifiers all but over, the groups for ClanBase NationsCup XV were drawn this night.

Although there is still one match in the qualifier left to be played, as UK and Switzerland will meet on Monday at 20:30 , ClanBase has per schedule drawn the groups for the upcoming competition.

The 14 teams directly invited to the group stage were joined by 10 teams from the qualifiers, and they were all drawn into the following four groups:

Norway	Russia
Romania	Germany
Bulgaria	UK / Switzerland
Austria	Estonia
Lithuania	Belarus
Group C	Group D
Poland	France
Ukraine	Finland
Spain	Czech Republic
Latvia	Netherlands
Belgium	Hungary
Slovakia	Portugal

The defending champions France will find tough tests in Group D against Finland and always dangereous Netherlands, while last year's runners-up Sweden were placed in Group B with Russia and Germany among others, promising us some juicy matches.

Same as last year, the group stage matches will be played in best-of-one mode, all 30 rounds will count in the score and there are no draws allowed, meaning overtime will be played in such cases (this year it will be MR5 mode).

The first team from each group will secure a direct spot in the quarter-final, while second and third placed teams will battle it out in relegation matches (Group A vs Group D, Group B vs Group C).

Maps will be chosen by elimination in both the group stage and the playoffs, and this year the map-pool for the first time includes de_mirage and de_forge in addition to the five standard maps.

The first round of competition should start already this week, so stay tuned to HLTV.org and follow your nation's journey through the fifteenth edition of the ClanBase NationsCup.

Hi all, first of all I want to ask something that almost never participates in america tournaments these guys I remember the countries involved, Brazil and the United States, I'm from Venezuela and here in Venezuela has great talent for counter strike, and when I say a lot is that lot, so if there is any possibility that someone, eg I was in Europe with some clan here in Venezuela, there will be some chance to register on these types of tournaments such as WCG, ESWC, IEM among others respond please!
