SK and KerchNET march on to semis

The last two quarter finals of TECHLABS Cup have been finished with favorites SK Gaming and underdogs KerchNET advancing to semi finals over Vifort and ESC Gaming.

The first of tonight's matches saw SK Gaming with their new addition Martin "trace" Heldt take on Russian underdogs Vifort. First map de_train ended up being a very one sided affair despite of multiple rounds early on in their Terrorist side where Vifort had the numbers, including a one versus four clutch by Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund. In the end SK Gaming went on to win 14-1 as defenders and finished off the map with a score of 16-4.

Second map was de_inferno, the map Vifort tied Natus Vincere on in the group stage. It started no different as the Swedes went on a run of nine rounds before Vifort could reply. That was little help though, as the half still ended 13-2 in SK's favor as Terrorists. The final half was back and forth for a while, but ended 3-5 with SK winning 16-7 on de_inferno, and 2-0 overall.

In the final quarter final of TECHLABS Cup, the Polish powerhouse ESC Gaming took on KerchNET who surprisingly advanced from their initial group with three wins. They started off well against ESC ICY BOX as well, going up 8-1 as Terrorists on de_train before surrendering six rounds in a row. That didn't help the Poles much though, as KerchNEt looked rock solid in the second half, closing the map 16-8.

Next up was de_nuke where the underdogs once again opened strong, going up 3-0. ESC tied up the game at 3-3, and suddenly the game got restarted. After a few minutes of waiting the game continued, and ESC managed to end the half with a narrow 8-7 lead. The Ukrainians kept grinding out rounds in the second half though, and managed to close the game 16-14.

your team won. fap now and stop trolling, ESC is always weaker online - it's probably because they are less motivated when they are not playing in one room. can you understand it or wanna continue your stupid shitty talk?

Just continue, what you are saying is making no sense. Dosen't matter if you are in the same room? If they are such a topteam they need to do damage online, not just on LAN, fanboy.

they do, they lost once and now everyone is making so big deal about. didn't mention about technical problems? it's also discouraging for a team. i'm not a fanboy of ESC, just making statements - try to MAKE SENSE, not just to depreciate me as a person.

they're one of the top teams in history of cs (not saying best, just one of the best, u should agree with it) and they were always bad at inet, i don't see there any revelation by lurppis: ESC is clearly the stronger one of these two teams, but they have a long history of producing underwhelming results online and a part of that problem is the fact they don't seem to believe in themselves online either. And if u want to say it doesn't matter if u are in one room, u know shit. G5 is the team which probably best strength is teamplay and they can do it at their best when they're at lan, when u can look at your mates monitors at the game time, online the teamplay is worse.

I dont think this was as much knet playing online, as it was ESC playing online. Knet is full of young guys, so it makes sense that they would perform better than on lan. But ESC looks like they just really dont care when they play online, n thus the subpar performances.

It was kind of a weird match. kNet went up 8-1 their t side of train pretty easily, then lost the rest of the rounds of the half just as easily. ESC couldn't get anything going on their t side, though, so kerch made the end look simple. Then nuke, ESC was looking good on their t side of train, winning the half 8-7. I don't know how it ended because there were a bunch of problems with the server and GF didn't stream most of the 2nd half's rounds.

manager of knet said that kerch made 2 simpe strategies on t side on nuke - all ramp and all somewhere else (i don't remember). and it was always close rounds like 2vs2 and 1vs1. but it worked for knet and they won

train and nuke are knet's best map though I cannot see them beating SK at any map! SK have multiple times eliminated nuke against mouz & wf iirc...anyways nuke hasn't always been SK's best map and robban is not "that" good at nuke as you might think...the funny fact is that f0rest has been the best nuke player years back...gtr has also been amazing at nuke so no wonder they do well! Now they have 3 of the 4 best nuke players but you never know! I think that SK will try to get train at which they have a huge advantage over knet and then finish off at d2/inferno/nuke

yes but knet play really weird at nuke, sometimes it's not about how good you are at the map, it's about how good your opponent is...why risk playing at nuke when they cna just play let's say train and d2 and literally run over them

Last time HLTV used the title "Number 1 player" it was Neo. That's all. Haven't read they changed their mind. Please post thread/source if they have.

anyone with a little bit of insight into the cs scene could tell that it wouldnt be easy for ESC and i, for one, am not surprised that kerchnet managed to upset the poles, especially considering how bad ESC actually are online.

i39.tinypic.com/etv6kz.jpg hahah FUCK THIS SHIT! when ESC was playing, game crashed 2 times in situations when ESC clearly managed to take the lead! In those situations they had lost concentration and this was huge advantage for knet. But keep dreaming that youre "better" after that shitty match. In NORMAL match on NORMAL server especially LAN ESC>>>>KNET ANY TIME

Stop complaining poles, all the other top teams had no problems @online, it's ESC's fault not tournament's fault ffs.

Server has nothing to do with this, if ESC played like they should they could easily win, problems are just an excuse.

i'm not trying to justify them - it's just nothing unexpected that they have shitty motivation online - they always do. and problems with server (especially moments of time when they occur) didn't help them with that. that's all i'm saying.
