DELTA parts ways with CS team

The Counter-Strike team that had been representing DELTA since March 2008 has parted ways with the organization and are looking for a new home.

Although no exact reason for the departure was given, a press release on DELTA's website states both sides agreed it was time to move on. Mateusz "ham" Rosłon had been in DELTA since the team became a part of the organization on March 14, 2008.

New tag for ham after four years in DELTA

DELTA has however stated that this doens't mean the organization will stop supporting Counter-Strike 1.6, as they are still interested in the game title and will possibly look for a replacement.

Over the past four years under the DELTA flag, the team attended events such as the past three GameGunes, ESWC 2010 and DreamHack Summer 2009 without much success internationally. The organization created a lengthy frag movie of the past four years, which you can see here.

The former DELTA team, now playing under the tag of SMAGA is planning on sticking together and are currently participating in ESL Pro Series Poland where placed third in the past season.

Number of frags in a match doesn't make anyone a good player. He's a great support and team player and he's got specific role in the team and I'm sure that neither destru, nor insider would fit the team. The fact that they get more frags than sonamed doesn't make them better than him. They just don't have the quality D5 needs :)

Actually if you make more frags you are better lol. There can be only one winning team- team with more frags o_O By creating a good atmosphere in team you wont win the match, you need to farg hard!

You didn't really get what I meant. In order to get frags you need support, teamplay, space, diversion etc. from your teammates. You can't just run around and shoot cause you're just good. Teams need to use their star-players in the most efficient way there is. That's what support players do. And it's not something you can learn, it requires high in-game skills such as reading the game for example (or using your brains to put it easier). Too bad those players are so underrated. Many people just don't get/see what a hard job they're doing for their teams ;)

polish c-s scene sux, i don't know why. We have many players who are playing a lot and their skill is awesome, but as a team they sux as fuck.

pistolero is 2 weak imo, ben is really great(together with ths and drive), back to the times he made an ace vs fnatic in 2009 :D

If you would like to create a dreamteam of these players you could bring destru instead of sonamed but you know these "dreamteams" don't work at all :P The most important key to win is chemistry, d5 have it, others - I don't think so, IMO ESC and d5 are only the teams worth to watch :P from Poland ofc :D

true, and because of your last statement I want to see destru get a chance in top2 :P I know dreamteams are not always (far from it even) working out, but switching one player could be for the better (look at pasha's evolution :P)

yep, imo destru deserved to be in top2 team (even more than insider, because insider is only the aimer, he is like guy who can't play in team, he plays alone) but destru is great teamplayer. Pasha stepped up his game because all ESC players taught him how to play on professional lvl(fanboys can laugh of it but its true, they have a lot of experience, maybe they are not considered as great individual players but teamplayers and they know how to play together - just experience from all previous years) :P
