mouz & myR reach EPS final

The fight for glory in ESL Pro Series Germany Spring Season 2012 will be a showdown between mousesports and myRevenge.de at the season finals, following Saturday's quarter- and semi-finals.

For the ninth season in a row, mousesports find themselves in the final of the German ESL Pro Series. The German squad made this possible with 2-0 victories against NeverPlay in the quarter-final and Alternate in the semi-final.

Despite going undefeated through the group stage, Alternate fell short of the finish line for the second season in a row, not making the season's grand final. This came with a loss against the rivals from mousesports, who won 16-10 on first map de_dust2 and then went up 15-0 on second map de_nuke, winning 16-5 to advance to the grand final.

Match statistics:

 mousesports K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating-

 Alternate K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating-

karrigan finished mousesports career with a 2-0 win against Alternate

In the grand finals mousesports will face myRevenge.de, who made it by beating DkH 2-1 in the semi-final. DkH had prior to this won 2-1 against fC.SNOGARD in the quarter-final, but weren't able to down the second ranked team from the group stage, and will therefore play the third place decider against Alternate.

Match statistics:

 myRevenge.de K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating-

 DkH K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating-

With mousesports announcing the shutdown of its CS 1.6 division earlier this month, the ESL Pro Series Spring Season 2012 finals will be the last appearance for the team. Finn "karrigan" Andersen had his last show in mousesports against Alternate, as he will not be playing with the team at the finals, due to date collision with the Swedish Championship qualifier in Stockholm, which he will attend with his new team fnatic.

Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel will assist mousesports at the season's conclusion, which will take place April 28-29 in ESL's backyard, which is of course Cologne.

Chmiel and the rest of mousesports could win the ninth ESL Pro Series in a row and fourteenth overall. The winner of this season will bring home 5,000€ and the trophy, while the second placed team will have get 2,500€ for their efforts.

For the interested souls out there, we have gathered Andersen's POV demos from his last mousesports appearance, find them in the POV demo section.

I presume it will be hard for karrigan to play for fnatic and have an eye (and presumably part of his heart) looking to Cologne at the same time.

well he already basically gave them the EPS trophy, by beasting alternate. if they lose to myR in the finals I would be greatly surprised, even if they have a (great) standin.

yeah must be hard. but what I meant is that he can be proud and that he had a great good bye, what better gift for his former team/org mouz than a 2-0 vs alternate in the semi finals where he shines (yes a 2-0 vs alternate in the finals, but still I count this more valuable than a same performance in a final vs myR). so no reason to look back for him and think that he could have done or given more :P ofcourse it will be tough to leave his mates, still

You know what, I was in the process to write a reply to you, but in the middle of it, I just removed everything. I don't have the passion, I guess you can say that, to prove users wrong etc, when you can clearly see by yourself. It's like night and day with Alternate and mousesports for the last couple of weeks or months if you will and if you can't see that you are definitely delusional and there is no point to reply to users like that and I'm gonna leave you with that. Sorry.

this mouz was a mixteam? these guys were the starting five on all big events in 2012 and 2nd halve of 2011... yes they weren't playing together alot lately, and did not have any new tactics. they just used all of their old stuff, and having karrigan and roman just ensured they simply outshot their opponents

Hopefully, mousesports' players will not retire. I see at least one really great opportunity to mix-up and become an invincible german-language based team with: gobb/kapio, roman, troubley, makz and tixo.

no not really. he and friis were always mvps in danish events. and you think just because they played with carn and gob_b suddenly they become alot better? sure it will help quite abit, playing with more exp. players than their former FG, but he always was sick already. They just now win prizes because they simply have better teammates. Look at FG roster, compare it with players like roman and moddi

You dont understand it. This is what karrigan said HIMSELF. Its not something I made up but his own words. And comparing MVP-titles of danish LANS is different from being MVP at an international event, isnt it?

sure it is, but I really do feel he hasn't grown that much when it comes to fragging power over his time in mouz. he already came in after insane performances in FullGaming, and they were already giving mTw a very hard time to stay best in Denmark (winning among others the danish WCG qualifier). I just feel friis and karrigan were way better than their teammates. and from the start karrigan was already the main fragger with roman in mouz, it's not like he got that off of gob_b surely? :p but I may be wrong, and gob's tactical brilliance just gives him the mental boost he needs to perform to the max :P
