TyLoo unable to attend IGC

TyLoo had originally planned on attending India Gaming Carnival next week, but due to receiving an invitation letter too late, it won't be possible.

When the Indian organizers announced the event in mid-February the Chinese team seized the opportunity to take part in the $40,000 tournament by sending the organizers an email about wanting to participate.

The Chinese team got a reply back short after, it was, however, only an auto-reply. The team repeatedly tried to get in contact with the organizers, in which they in the end succeeded in. The success in contact to the organizers came a little too late for the team, as they only yesterday received the invitation letter they would need in order to acquire a visa for entry into India.

Indian invitation letter came too late for TyLoo to participate

TyLoo will therefore not be able to travel to New Delhi for the tournament. By the looks of it, Moscow Five will be the only top foreign team in attendance at the event, which will run April 6-8 at the Ayatti-Caparo International Center in the Noida area outside of New Delhi.

There is a correction there, The total Prize pool for CS is $60,000 (or more depending upon the latest rate conversion) 1st - $28,000 (approx) 2nd - $14,000 (approx) 3rd - $10,000 (approx) 4th - $5,000 (approx) 5th - $3,000 (approx)

I am actually probably also missing out on account of only getting one reply to my four mails, and 2 weeks after sending the first :( but they did contact me and are trying to get the documents ready tomorrow, so I might have a shot at going. Just because M5 is attending IGC doesn't mean that ATE can't defeat them. We, Indian Gaming Community have all the necessary potential to defeat the foreign teams if we're provided with timely competitions and sponsors to support the team. India has the largest gaming community. And to avoid the confusions, I'm know Team ATE's leader and it's not because ATE wants to win or that the tournament is fixed. It it was they wouldn't have replied to Tyloo at all. And then why'd they have sent out the invitation to all International teams? When IGC 1 becomes a success, the European teams will pour in here like anything!!

1st of all...its a 1st international tournament in india........as expected no foreign team wants to take some chance expecting the prize money to be fake and the evnt to be a complete scam. Its not easy money for m5 because u knw never knw what could surprise you....although some1 had to take the 1st step and in this case it is M5 GL HF M5 :) May be next yr big teams will come here to earn what this year may be M5 will have :D

1st, the only reason IGC is not getting international participation is because it is happening at the same time as CPH games! i think it was only logical for the teams to travel within Europe than come to the sub-continent which is a lot more expensive. 2nd, they had the opportunity to get 2 of the top teams but unfortunately the organizer's incompetency cost them the chance to do so. 3rd, we both know the caliber of counter strike played within our countries is NO MATCH for that of Moscow5. it is easy money for them but lets hope something unusual/unexpected happens :)
