We talk with SK Gaming's Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund after beating ESC Gaming to win the Sound Blaster CS:GO Challenge at Copenhagen Games.

SK Gaming won the Sound Blaster CS:GO Challenge by beating Polish team ESC Gaming 16-13 to win the 1,000€ for the first place finish.

We interviewed Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund after the match, asking him about the current state of the game, whether de_dust2 is CT sided and a lot more. To find out what the Swede had to say, hit play on the video below.

CS;S players' feedback weights more in the eyes of CS;GO developers, so what velocit1 is saying is that with this victories maybe the developers will listen more to 1.6 players than to source players. And +1.

Good interview, I think GTR is right, if staff of CS:GO give more interest of the CS 1.6 players, they can make a fun/playable game for many of us. [ And i know, fun and playable aren't the same thing ] Say all the time "1.6>>>ALL" is just pure bullshit, and if this game, become not enough good, we totally need one new FPS. Again, nice Iview.

the game is fun and playable, people just need to realise that it will never be like 1.6, and it will never be like css either, it's a new game, everyone should just relax and enjoy a new challenge instead of whining that it isn't exactly like the game they already play

it's playable, you're just comparing it to 1.6 you ignorant fool. if cs:go was quake you'd call it unplayable because it's nothing like 1.6, but it's still a perfectly fine game, it's just nothing like the counter-strike you know, get over it, 1.6 isn't coming back with updated graphics in the form of cs:go

ofcourse im comparing it to 1.6,its the best counter strike and if cs:go wants to have a chance to suceed it has at least to respect the oppinions of the people who played the best cs for a very long time its playable if you like a cartooned game ,where you dont understand when you hs,if you like to stare to palmtrees instead of actually shooting

who cares about movement, graphic is so ugly and it's unplayable cause of that, this should be cs not cod or some other game with amazing graph...

movement is key. how the hell are you suppose to juke/peek around corners if you're only able to move around like a retard. Think about it. Valve are idiots for not understanding that the main thing that makes 1.6 competitive is the unique movement. Take for example soccer/futbol or basketball; basically any damn physical sport that involves an object. In basketball the object is the basketball and for futbol the object is the ball. So the "object" is the "movement" in 1.6; it shouldn't be altered. Only the player with enough skills can exploit that object. In basketball, a skill player can do crazy dribbles or crossovers depending on the basketball player's skill level. in 1.6, skill players can bhop or jump like monkeys all over nuke on top of beams. Futbol never changed it's "object", the shape of the ball to an oval shape. That will basically fuck up the whole physics and dynamic of futbol. Duh dumb ass valve, u guys are dumb as fuck. Keep the movement similar to 1.6 and tweak the game however. ppl and players will adapt to recoil/graphics. but changing the physics of the "object" just messes up the game completely. Basketball or futbol may have change some rules here and there, but that's just to make the game balance. Much like how the money system in cs changed when i believe shaguar (not sure if it was him) gave his feedback about it. so the movement is key, but other things such as skinner models, better hit boxes also adds on to make the game better and more challenging. i love 1.5/1.6 and cspromod is possibly 95% close to it. give cspromod a try, it doesn't hurt!

cs 1.6 is a sport like soccer....people never get tired of playing it again n again because of its unpredictability and skill needed. One thing is for sure that nobody can just phase a game like 1.6 out. At least not in my mind so who cares what people talk about CS:GO neways.

Oke.. This game can be the descendant of CS:S. This is so obvious same engine and blabla.. But it will never replace cs 1.6.. CS:S competitions have been around for many years now.. There is no problem at all.. When this game is done it will take the CS:S's place and that is it.. But it has NOTHING to do with cs 1.6.. CS:GO is completely different from 1.6 and completely the same as CS:S. This is sooo obvious..

He's a top player, interviews well, and speaks English pretty fluently. Same reason Taz gets lots of interviews. It's actually been really cool to watch GTR's English and interviewing skills improve over the past few years. He's much better than he was.
