Wikipediots to Intel IO as eSrael

The Israel based organization eSrael has launched a cooperation with the Danish team Wikipediots for the weekend's 3rd Intel Core Challenge by Inferno Online.

When traveling to Stockholm this weekend, Wikipediots will carry the eSrael tag, as they today announced a cooperation with the organization.

The organization, which you have probably seen with an Israeli team in the past, has funded the Danes' trip to the $10,000 tournament in Stockholm, in exchange changing their name for the weekend.

ArcadioN & trace to Stockholm as eSrael

For the weekend eSrael will be have the following five Danes representing them:

Denmark Christian "turkizh" Bindslev
Denmark Martin "trace" Heldt
Denmark Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth
Denmark Timm "ArcadioN" Henriksen
Denmark Morten "coloN" Johansen

Both sides hope to extend the cooperation after the event, an evaluation will determine the future once the Danes return from Stockholm.

my guess is Xapso wasn't able to cover for their expenses during intel IO, so eSrael did an offer for that single tournament, which is yet to be extended if everything goes well

that is the worst constructed sentence/english i've ever seen :s your english? "You don't have in team" I'm talking from experience and ask some previous teams or find statements why they left, also take the current team for example from eSrael have you seen them at a European LAN event in the past XX years?.. / Research statements from former teams in all games, not to tarnish their rep but eSrael are a solid organisation but don't have 'full funding' for a top international team which is why so many left in the past and why some promises are broken, just telling the danes to becareful :)

I was saying your a not a top 3 world player (talking about trace) or (have him on the team). Because they already left an organization (Xapso) for better offers. I didnt mean to offend you or anything but they are a top team now and from recent results they seem to be really good and everyone is interested in investing a good team. And they probably have contracts to this event dont think they are relaying on promises

what does having trace in my team have anything to do what I was stating at all..? I'm talking from fact from my own experience after being in talks with them for several weeks/month, aswell as former teams which I know and have talked to also stating and told me similar story which I was involved with. What you said has no relevance or meaning about the org or their history in supporting teams/not offering or offering well below contract requirements Have you read Anything I have wrote in the slightest...? fuck my life.

You don't make any sense in the slightest. Sounds like your a massive fan boy of some sort and have no knowledge of certain aspects outside the game. still find it hard to believe somehow in your deranged statement as you are stating 'trace is a top 3 player' - is relevant to me stating the organisation have been known not to live up to promises in past.. and for your 'they are a top team', think to why they were in talks with my previous team.. I must of just been a random fanboy like yourself right :)? actually infact I can't be arsed to reply.

Ok who would eSrael treat better and keep the promises to "Friza" or "trace" a top 3 player who played in two of the biggest teams in the history of cs mTw and SK. The teams that they previously supported weren't top 10 teams that won vs navi, lemondogs.

fuck my life, are you just truely moronic? eSrael have blagged in the past from previous teams, several have been top european/international teams - take example a former source team who won shitloads of money and prizes over the years left due to unfulfiled promises and question marks over certain payments (who were ranked 1st in Europe), this is only quoting ONE team of many. negotiating and talking to the org I managed to find out several things which I will not list in public hence why I said read some previous statments of teams from ALL games. Did I ever ONCE mention they are not worthy of funding, infact I mentioned they deserve an organisation such as WOLVES and Verygames, both honnest orgs with a promising future and a lot of financial backing behind them. The fact you are such a spaz to understand a concept about an organisation who are very (extremely) unknown outside of the international scene from previous experience or teams when have you, like I stated previously, seen an eSrael team be supported in a big international lan event. Literally the fact you are so deranged makes me irritable. What the f does being a top 3 ranked player make a difference to an organisation who has had no large prior funding in the past and has a track record of such things like i've stated. How does him being in mTw and SK 'prove' or make the org splash out £10-15k for yearly funds, just because a fanboy troll thinks 'Hi he is top3 THEREFORE he will get full sponsorship from an organisation who has never proved to perform on a financial level' You sir are a moron, and have absolutely no idea or clue about how organisations run or what organisations say to get players to join. Do your homework and have a clue before you start trying to put a side a vue which aswell as not being meaningful, has no evidence.

Any yes evidently I do. Hence why I said I hope it is on a one lan basis, which is leading from the article. So your telling me somehow that eSrael are up their inteams of organisations (financially and backing supporting international players in all games such as; mTw, SK, Dignitas, Lions, Verygames, WOLVES, Na'Vi - etc list goes on) when have you ever heard of eSrael breaking or being known as a top international organisation that can fund higher end teams? They're plently of organisations out there with small funding such as Entry fee's - Wikipediots Deserve a better organisation and there is no question in my mind that an organisation like eSrael with their track record and experience like stated and afford such a team like Wikipediots who DESERVE a top funding organisation. The fact I hope from their point of vue they will recieve funding for a 1 LAN basis then go into a larger organisation - And as we all know the financial crsis in israel isn't the best in Europe so why they would have 10-15k to spend on a European team over a year is beyond me, hence logic steps into play. for @eSrael, they are a brilliant organisation for Israelians who have been around for years, i'm not trying to tarnish reputation i'm just clarify the ability of funding from previous players/team - and the ability to support a top end international team on a 6-12month fixed contract, They've done great for eSports and it's an amazing pickup for the organisation, however I don't feel (from experience, obviously I can be wrong) this would be a long term jesture. @Nix0n can you clarify the agreement from Wikipediots for their duration of their time in eSrael is it for 1 LAN basis or have they signed a 6-12month contract?

so it is a 1 LAN basis currently, with negotiations after the LAN event :) which isn't heard of but also isn't a full commitment from either team, will be interesting to see what happens after the event. Best of luck to eSrael the org and Wikipediots

actually my old team puta they promised to send us to : ASUS Kiev, GameGune - all they did was postponing it. Since then karrigan left to join ESC during GameGune cause their offer was valid. I do know that it costs 5 times as much for sending an israelian team to a lan than a danish, so in my eyes its a perfect move for Xapso - IF THEY DONT LIE like last times. If RAGE2k is in under it, im sure its all good.

similar story, just this roman guy is slightly clueless when it comes to things like this :p out of any teams currently in 1.6 I want to see wikipediots absolutely destroy topteams, decent lineup and proves that upcoming players new in the scene can actually do well given the chance (colon prime example)

For those of you who talk about the tag.. seriously, does it really matter? as long as eSrael is supporting them and both sides are happy, there's no problem. To remind you all, bsl (a Norwegian oldschool player) played with mibr (back in 2007) .. he was made in brasil? :) no. This is just a tag which is representing the organization which is an Israeli organization. Real Madrid is a Spanish football team, but they have players from all over the world .. does it matter? no. e-Sport is just like any other sport (that's how we should count it and aim for this to happen in the future..) - and if you look at it that way, then FUCK YEAH! eSrael ArcadioN eSrael turkizh or whatever. Good luck boys, love you all.

I don't forget him, but my example was quite different and more similar to the "eSrael" tag issue - eSrael = Israel, mibr = made in brasil. elemeNt is one of MANY players who played in teams/organisations which aren't related to his country.

you can't really compare football with CS on this aspect, but i get your point, and i agree, but well, maybe a more "non-controversial" orga name would be better !

Yes I can compare it to football, that's what people should aim for when it comes to eSports. Oh and sorry, I don't see any problem with the name "eSrael" :) but lets not get in to a political conversation, I don't like those things.

politics, that's what it's all about ;) and no, i don't think we can compare CS to football for this aspect, and if you do, a more accurate comparison would be "have you ever seen an italian/spanish/english/whatever football team playing with 100% players coming from the same foreign country ?"no, it's usually at least 3 or 4 players from the country, and other players from all over the world :)

Hmmm ... SK is a german organization and its players are sweeden. Fnatic is australian org and it has mixed nationalities. It's been happening for a long time.

yup, it's been happening for a long time in CS history, not in football, that's why i said the comparison to football is not very relevant here !

Sport is international, and eSport should be international as well, and as fans/supporters of eSports you should support organizations from other countries that takes teams from different countries, and teams who have a lineup with players from more than one country, such as fnatic. They are getting the support from the organization? good! that's everything you should think about. You don't need to involve politics and personal thoughts about X and Y when it comes to eSports. You have your option of not being a fan of this team, that's for sure.. but you shouldn't mark them just because eSrael is an Israeli organization and you have your opinions about Israel as a country.

don't get me wrong, i don't have any "bad opinion" about eSrael, i'm from the guys who are happy to see any organization supporting a CS 1.6 team ! all i said is that, for this exemple, the comparison to football was a little sloppy, cuz we have actually never seen such a thing happen in football (a football team habing 100% players coming from the same foreign country).
2012-05-09 15:21
0
Well, football teams have 11 players and CS team have 5. It's easier to do a full squad of CS 1.6 with players of just one country. Anyway, in Portugal, you'll find teams with 8/9 brazilians and 1 or two portuguese players. Globalization, for sure.

There have been no big organizations since SoA and Ravens in Denmark. At least not as far as I recall. It is too bad, but simply the funding is not there here in DK or we, as organizations, are shit at talking people into giving us money for a game from 1999.

trust me, the money is there but in Denmark the organisations isn't really into to putting money in computer games. maybe it sounds strange when we got so many top players, and so on. But organisations and companies just doesn't see computer games as a + in the system :) that is why we had mTw, esreal and all the best players play with other organisations.

Haha nope... The money isn't there. Didn't you remember the eSport Danmark situation where the organization didn't wan't to send a representen 1.6 team to WCG because it was to expensive? Instead they send some random dudes in a random game to WCG and used their money on that...

Have you been working on an organizational level in Denmark? At least my knowledge from this have proven it more difficult to convince companies to fund teams within an old game, whereas newer games are a lot easier. But maybe we simply weren't working hard enough. Actually also finding funding for events in Denmark is easier within newer games.

Politics is about people not cs players and cs in general, all the palestine guys that says "free palastine" first stop to explode yourselfs in a buses and kill everybody you see, because if you'll have a country and you wont know how to behave' you guys are gonna kill yourself until no one will stay alive. I don't understand that, Israel did nothing to you except puting the terrorists in jail and all we want is peace, stop to caursing and the violence and than say "free palestine".
