pauLy returns to UMX

Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan has returned to activity in Ultimax Gaming to replace Steve "reltuC" Cutler who was unable to attend the upcoming ESEA Season 11 Playoffs.

Cutler joined the team in the off season and has been one of the main players in the team's first eight matches. However, due to him finding out he would not be able to attend ESEA finals, the team decided to make the change as soon as possible.

pauLy reunites with steno

Guerboyan has played with Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky for majority of his competitive career and was actually the only legitimate possibility for UMX who have already used up all of their roster changes.

Ultimax Gaming:

United States Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez
United States Francis "kiko" Lao
United States Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan
United States Christian "sobo" Soboleske
United States Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky

UMX is currently third in ESEA Invite halfway through the season with six wins and two losses. They placed second last season with Guerboyan in the lineup.

UMX moved out of their house in December (or earlier) and steno never lived there despite of being a part of the old lineup as well (with flowsick, slip, inertia, truls).

starix lived in the same city (kiev) so he came to the apartment everyday to play on lan together with rest of na`vi, he just chose to spend the rest of his day with his family and to sleep at home. steno had a job in new york where he lives while the rest of his team lived in los angeles, a six hour flight away. hardly the same thing at all.

saying lurpiss isnt a good player is a big stretch man :/ basic, xizt, and starix, will all lose their edge slowly but surely, when they get older, just like carn and lurpiss among many others in the past. especially because being busy with tactics and countering opponents all the time takes much more out of you than being just one of the players.

Going to america for a refreshing holiday?, that was your biggest mistake. Should have gone to Paris or something, its closer to you as well. Except las vegas and the beauty spots, it dont got much else.

i loved every minute of it which made me wonder why am i even playing cs in the first place if i don't enjoy it anywhere near as much. paris... hahaha... don't get me even started on paris... paris is a place where dreams go to die, i hope i never ever have to visit that piece of shit country again now that i no longer play cs. i would LITERALLY rather go chill out in the gas chambers of auschwitz (and yes i've been there so i know the comparison) than go to paris again. on that note i'm going to see finland demolish france in hockey tonight which is combining two of my favorite things: hockey and france suffering. can't wait.

Yeah, but i thik dat you just have been in Paris, and Paris'ppl is just as you said. But why hate ALL french guys ? I think you just came in France to play some cs @ ESWC and you haven't really visited the whole city. Besides, it's a really nice country, so beautiful and the food is just amazing. Based on my own experience around the world =) I don't want to make you lovin FRANCE, just to say there is good people here and it's a nice country. (You spoke about Steno living in NYC while his team mates are livin in L.A. I'm curious, whatz the ping when you play with ppl from the other side of the USA ?)

i don't think i've ever had an enjoyable meal in paris, best i've found in restaurants (obviously i haven't been to michelin star restaurants, but average 20€ meals) is average. i've spent hours going around paris and i do enjoy the city's architecture etc but as long as it's filled with french people i wish to never return. i have a couple of french friends who are good guys so obviously not everyone is a retard even there, but i've had far too many shitty experiences because of moronic people there that i would ever change my mind. to give you an example, a policeman in paris told us to never come back to his country if we don't speak french, after threatening us with his gun (happened at last eswc). 80% of CS in north america is played on chicago/atlanta/denver/texas servers and on those people usually average around 40-60 ping.

i've had 4 weeks of bad experiences over the time i've spent in france, and people definitely aren't cunts anywhere else, or if they are, they aren't even measured on the same scale as the people i've encountered (and not, because they refuse to acknowledge you if you don't speak french) in paris. one bad experience is fine, four weeks of it isn't just bad luck.

your statement makes no sense whatsoever, if anything, the four players who moved out of their homes for cs had "strong feelings for this game", not the guy staying at home and playing. edit: not to say he doesn't, but your reasoning makes no sense at all

You wouldn't get irony even if it kicked u in the ass. It is impossible to make a team from USA who are gonna be active, and challenge the top teams in Europe. I give them 4 months.

it doesn't make any sense because i specifically said he had a job in new york so he stayed at home. there are tons of active teams, but if they don't have the sponsorships to ever travel to events, they won't improve much. american teams are made for one esea season at a time.

How can u possible know that they would have done any damage in Europe if they had the sponsorship ? The last time America had a decent cs team was when EG was at it's best. Beofre that we have to go back when fRod was carrying Col. Im pretty sure u could take 5 the best players from America and sign them up for a huge sponsorship and they wouldn't be able to challenge with team such as KerchNET, Anexis, Alternate, playART and so on.

you should practice reading comprehension; i never said they would, i just said they don't even get a chance. and for the record, i'm positive current back2back would give all those teams you just listed a run for their money

personal reasons why i couldn't go to copenhagen games and i haven't played any cs since iem so i chose to stay in north america for a few more weeks after copenhagen games instead of coming back to play cs. as far as the reason for the switch of driim to metaphor goes, you will find out in our pre-ios feature that will come out tonight or tomorrow!

Well, it wont last long. Same thing with the Brazilian, they have gr8 players, but all players have played for all Brazilian organazation, they can't stick with one line-up, and then they wont do any damage.

totally different players, though. cutler is an awp and pauly isn't. now umx doesn't have an awper. cutler was a good replacement for truls--a much better awper--while pauly is actually pretty bad with it (he awped a few times in EG and did horribly) I agree pauLy is the better player in general, but I don't know if he fits the role UMX needs
