xfunction Fraglider Cup taking place on May 25-27 in Porto, Portugal has announced prize distribution and the attending teams for their event.

So far a total of 26 teams have been announced as attending the event, including the now sponsorless and according to Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm, inactive former WinFakt squad. It is currently unknown whether or not the Finns will be able to attend.

xfunction Fraglider Cup will be held in an odd format that includes five groups consisting of up to six teams, of which three will advance per group as well as the fourth place team with best round difference ratio of all the groups.

After group stage, the playoffs will be played out in a best-of-three, single elimination format. The event will offer 4,000€ of cash in prizes as well as some products for the teams that place in the top eight.

Prize distribution:

1. 3,000€
2. 750€ + Antec gear valued at 350€
3. 250€ + Antec gear valued at 750€
4. 5x ZOWIE EC1 eVo Black + 5x ZOWIE P TF-Speed
5-8. X7 500MP mousepad + tuganetGames server
5-8. X7 500MP mousepad + tuganetGames server
5-8. X7 500MP mousepad + tuganetGames server
5-8. X7 500MP mousepad + tuganetGames server

Map rotation will include all seven by now standard maps in competition; de_dust2, de_forge, de_inferno, de_mirage, de_nuke, de_train and de_tuscan. It is currently unknown if maps are pre-determined in the playoffs, but they will use the veto-system in group stage.

Teams still interested in attending the event can contact the organizers via e-mail at [email protected]. The organization says they will make a selection among the applicants to determine the final participating teams.

Why they aren't atm very strong could you tell me? They are without lurppis, which is the least skilled (aim, etc..) player in the team, with no offense. sX yea, I agree they're low and never proved themselves internacionally.
