Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund has told HLTV.org that the rumors circling about SK Gaming breaking up and a new team with CS:S players having formed is not true.

A post on Cadred.org brings forth a rumor stating that the Swedish team of SK Gaming has disbanded following their disastrous DreamHack Summer campaign where they placed 7-8th in the main tournament.

The rumour states that Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg have teamed up with three Swedish CS:S players, to form a CS:GO team to represent SK Gaming.

GeT_RiGHT slams CS:GO team rumor

HLTV.org contacted Alesund on the matter and he was quick to prove these rumours false, as he confirmed that SK Gaming has not split up and that they are not planning on creating a CS:GO team.

Alesund said that him and Lindberg had played CS:GO together with the players in question, but that it was always in gathers and that's all there is to it.

do you even understand what fully prepared means, once teams have got used to the game, and once it stops getting regular updates that change major things in the game, it will be an even playing field, as both source and 1.6 players will have put in the time to get used to it, maybe in the first few months the bias will show, maybe it wont.

The fact that you haven't considered actually learning games, doesn't mean jack shit. you must be out of this world. the game is entirely new for both sides besides the basic principle of gameplay + hp & moneysystem etc. Both sides(cs:s & cs1.6) have to learn the new game from scratch and therefore it rly doesnt favor either one of 'em significantly enough to make a difference.

have you played it yet? As it's called counter-strike, it has to have something in commmon with source and 1.6, and since both run completely differently, it's possible that it feels more like one than the other, even though it's not the same game

lmfao, what an idiot. have you ever seen a single NiP game? of course friberg is going to have a worse K/D than anyone else on the team because, guess what, he's always the first guy to attack a bombsite or a chokepoint. still his entryfrags are far more important than xizt's random mid-round picks. go on, check the stats, you'll see friberg has way more 3k/4k rounds (~30% more than xizt), once again meaning his frags make a bigger impacts on the rounds. also here's a neat comparison of friberg's and xizt's ratings in the last 2 months, xizt is to the left and friberg is to the right i.imgur.com/AmkhC5T.jpg, clearly shows friberg is better that xizt.

Xizt calls strats AND frags. The last time Xizt played a tournament where he wasn't the one calling, he was the best player on NiP, but then Fifflaren got 9-44 in the grand final, so he had to switch back to the IGL role.

Everyone knows that HLTV.org is the "enfant terrible" of all CS 1.6 communities. Mostly because of its huge and very young member-base from all over the world (the idiots are always the loudest and more people means more idiots). It's just wrong to point with the finger at HLTV and say: Look how immature 1.6's community is. In some way this community is awesome cause I never saw such a huge fan-culture anywhere else in the counter-strike world, especially not on cadred.org. People love to talk about their CS stars, speculate about lineup-changes and talk about past events and they spend hours of making new frag videos and watching old demos. That's what esport needs, even some people may act a bit immature sometimes.
