NiP confirmed for SteelSeries GO

An update on Inferno Online's website has confirmed Ninjas in Pyjamas as the first team for the €3,500 SteelSeries GO tournament next week in Stockholm.

The tournament got announced earlier today and the first team has now been confirmed by the organizers.

Inferno Online, which has been the home base of SK Gaming over the past years, will now be the base for newly formed NiP. As the tournament is played in Stockholm E-Sport Arena, an extension to Inferno Online's Stockholm facility, it made sense that NiP would attending.

The news post about the tournament on Inferno Online's website got update recently, stating the following: "NiP are ready for the tournament".

SteelSeries GO will be the first LAN tournament for CS:GO after its release on Tuesday next week, but also the first official matches for NiP.

Stay tuned for more news regarding the SteelSeries GO tournament, as we will be sure to update you once more teams or other information has been presented.

csgo has nothing to do with source. everything is different. Only weapon models look a bit alike but movement etc. is way different. So i guess its as hard for a css player as it is for a cs 1.6 player.

Canada is the world leading and nr1 hockeynation through all times, most of the best players ever were/are canadians. Most registred hockeyplayers (even thou Canada dont have THAT much inhabitants) they "even" beat sovjet-ussr/russia on that point to. By pretty far margin most NHL-players and it were in Canada Icehockey got invented. When Canada have their best players they usually got the best team in the world, like at olympics and such. At small rink the (thier own zise) they are undisupeted rulers of the world when having all their best players gathered. Larger rink ofc Sovjet/Russia, Sweden, czech-slovakia, Finland always have bigger chance. Lets see Sotji, i think if NHL let all the best come to that olympics aswell Canada is with Crosby etc are at least equal favorites as Russia even if its in Russia and playing on bigger/-European size. Canada usually always top1 favorites when all players allowed to play. With all respect for Sovjet/Russia with KLM-line, Fetisiv, Trtjak, etc, Sweden with Peter Forsberg, Nicklas Lidstrom, Henrik Lundqvist and so on ... Canada is simply hockey, sure in general not equally unquestionable domination like Cs Sweden during the years from 99- but still enough to make such comparison. Counter-Strike is Sweden's game Hockey is Canada's game Ping-Pong is China's game But ofc Sovjet/Russia is the alltime second greatest hockeynation. Its like this. Face it.

The year of 2006, every team had their best players. If im not mistaken Ovechkin was the only big star missing? Sweden won both the olympics and the world champs ;) Sure, the sport is bigger in Canada and they have more good players but when every team has their topteam it's all up to who has the better day, so therefore I think the statement " When Canada have their best players they usually got the best team in the world, like at olympics and such." is bad.

I know its highly sensitive telling ppls in Europe - especially russians, Canada is hockeys originated homesoil and alltime nr1 hockeynation, but yes i take it easy with this - everyone have right to their own "objective" opinion. Ofc its always small margins when "the titans" clash as representing their own country, at olympics. But at such tournaments, Canada is (as i wrote) Usually the top1 favourite, and thats basicly linked with having the outstanding deepest top players-pool choosing from. Basicly, Canada could at Olympics put together two teams that pretty much might have an equally big potential shot at the goldmedal, like no other nation can compare with, that tells you "something", i can say. So i dont think my statements are that bad after all.

Well, Overall since the start of hockey in the late 1800th, Canada is the nr1 hockeynation. Most dominate Sovjet-era were many trophies without facing the best NHL:ers (best canadians). Like 1 or 2 exeptions in Canada Cup in the 80's where Canada lost "even" with Gretzkey, Lemioux etc only, So. And we all could see (when healthy) this era's worlds best player in Crosby dictate the game for worlds best hockeynation at the olympics in 2010. Russia simply didnt had much of a chance vs Canada when all the best players were gathered. Lets see Sotji, (no NHL ice-size), Russia at last might have their Big chance winning that olympic goldmedal at homesoil. But Canada like stated due to different parameters, usually the nr1 favourite when very bests are allowed to play.

I agree with you on Canada being the #1 hockeycountry overall, but when it comes to the the absolute top-players (in olympics and stuff like that) I don't think you can claim one team to be better then another because it's so tight up there and as I said, it's about who has the better day. And i'd like to claim Sweden as the #1 hockeycountry when it comes to good players per capita btw, which imo is more impressive (i'm very, very biased tho) :P Did you know Peter Forsberg, Markus Näslund and the Sedinbrothers are all from the same town with 28,991 inhabitants (Örnsköldsvik)? :P

As alltimers, Sweden are absolutly up there somewhere behind Canada & Russia. Peter Forsberg "the complete package". According to what i could see during his prime-time (which was "quite" alot) i'd say he's definatly in my book one of the most talented players to ever set a foot on the ice. Brute force both offensive and defensive, superior skills - in every aspect of the game. But heavily injured due to his style of playing the game with deepest devotion, and this was in the so called "grab and clutch-era" proicehockey.about.com/od/hockeyglossary.. :]

CSGO is an awesome game imo. A very much needed change for cs. You can only 1.6 for so long. I hope to see all the big organizations back for CSGO, and many new ones to come. mouz, NiP, 4Kings already announced and the games only in beta. SK have shown interest in a GO team, and so will ever other top org. Theres a reason everyone is switching. 1.6's time has come, and its time to move on. I am really excited to see Source players and 1.6 players all playing the same Counter-Strike. This is coming from someone who hates Source and has played 1.6 for over 8 years.

could anyone say if CS:GO has somewhat of the HLTV ? I simply dont wanna buy this game for playing, cause I prefer 1.6 and I have not so much time to discover something new... the only reason to get GO is watching events, so does it contain HLTV/SOURCETV/GOTV or all the matches shall be streamed ?

I don't think that cs:go has an hltv. Atleast not yet. The games are going to be shown on stream.

They should win easily enough, unless Verygames or a top Danish team attend.
