HeatoN: "CS:GO will be bigger"

NiP manager Emil "HeatoN" Christensen believes Counter-Strike: Global Offensive "will be much bigger than CS 1.6."

The multiple CPL medalist guested Live on Three, a weekly talk show dedicated to competitive gaming, to talk about the newly revived NiP team and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

When asked how he thinks the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene will be compared to when he played, Christensen said, "Honestly, I think [CS:GO] will be much bigger than CS 1.6."

Rod "Slasher" Breslau, one of the hosts of Live on Three, quoted Christensen in a tweet shortly after. CEO of Evil Geniuses, Alexander Garfield, seemingly made a mess after the remark.

Touching on other topics in regards to CS: Global Offensive, Christensen pointed out the importance of streaming for the scene to prosper, adding that the NiP players will start streaming soon.

The former professional also revealed that he had planned to make a comeback in the early beta stage, but laughingly explained he would not have the time and that he is getting too old.

Christensen furthermore said a lot of members in the Swedish community had changed their views on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, comparing before and after the NiP announcement.

Many in the international community have also changed, he said. "Even on HLTV.org and those websites who have pretty immature people writing comments, it's actually getting better there, too."

On CSPromod, he said the project is a really good idea and it could have been good, but they released it too early, "when it was not finished," adding, "It's not going to be the next thing."

You can watch the rerun of Live on Three #129 by clicking here. Christensen gets on around the 1:08:00 mark.

wahahahaha wtf is ur role in the 1.6 scene then? this guy is a legend. I bet csgo will be much bigger. But if 1.6 was launched in these days it would have been much bigger than what it has done when launched in 1999. Today uve got the social media, streamings, superduper internet, much better gaming gear, people that want to invest in the gaming industry. What heaton says isnt weird or a disgrace, its rather logical.

You also have more competition from rather much better games too. CS:GO is a mediocre game which for a newcomer in the FPS (the game is primarily aimed at them by the way) scene is just another game on the shelf. Whereas, people who played 1.6 back then and have been following it it's more than just a game. To some, in fact, it's the only game they play. If you LOGICALLY think about it, being bigger is directly in proportion to how much passion people have. Today, people have less passion for things. Music, Art, Movies, Games the passion is less and the competition is much higher and at a very high quality too. For an example, I remember skipping school lunch with my friends turn after turn to save money to buy a cassette on the Friday. Chances of that happening now are slim to none. No matter how much he wants to promote this mediocre game, it will not be as big as 1.6. The major advantage CS:GO has over 1.6 is the graphics and not gameplay. You think 12 years later CS:GO's graphics will still be good enough? I highly doubt it.

Today you have other easy modern setting FPSes to play. A lot of people is turned off from SciFi setting or harsh skill curves, so they flocked from UT/Quake to CS, the game everybody could get kills in and shoot "real guns".

well, as we can see csgo has evolved a litte bit. Not as far as we want it to be, but its getting there. I can only hope they will improve some gameplay, then we can see csgo skyrocket.

Dont really care what you think but since he you insulted me im gonna explain why i said that. Heaton isnt a legend to me he wasnt good when CS had his peak in both skill and tactical level. He was consider the best around the time that not many people knew the game, if he was good he wouldve stayed till the end like f0rest did 2005-2012 and still be amazing but instead he worked for zowie and used 1.6 to make money. If CS GO stays competitive and has the same number of tournaments after 10 years like CS did in 2010 i will be happy to post that HeatoN was right, yes in the near future it will be a blast maybe many tournaments will pick it, teams will form, sponsors will come but we dont know what will happen after 10 years just like we didnt 10 years ago about 1.6 nobody really knew that this game was going to be played by millions of teenagers 10 years later even if there are many new games with better graphics and new features. He says these things because he has a CS:GO division and he says what he wants to happen but 10 years is a long period of time.

I'm sorry for insulting. You can't know for sure he quited 1.6 for that reason, changing gaming career to PRing in same sphere seems logical to me when a person is aging. He also can be right if Valve puts enough money, because they already did attract a lot of people. Maybe that's what he meant since CS 1.6 couldn't reach prize money level for WC or Starcraft,it was like top1 starcraft player won almost like whole team.

You think cs 1.6 had more players in 2008 and beyond than it did before 2004? It continued to build unique users the longer it stayed around but Heaton (.13ms reaction time) was the best at the games peak, sry you weren't playing back then.

He has done almost nothing for 1.6 since his retirement. The CGS cane he switched to that and ran the Swedish team. CGS fails and he falls off the map and starts casting 1.6 games last year okay cool. He's a real star. Now GO comes up and he's behind a game we don't fully understand yet. It's all crap. Hes trying to make a quick buck off his name in the 1.3/1.5 days. Because he wasn't very good at 1.6 let's face it. As top players go anyway. His legend dies with his commitment to using it to boost his own paycheck. Im not even a GO hater as a matter of fact I kindve like it. Not as much as 1.6 but it's not the worst thing ever. He's just let's an alias he played under build his money in newer CS versions that failed. Element is a real legend. He played and won over a 100k in prize money. Retires and comes back after like 4 years or something and leads his team to a 3rd/4th place at WCG and disappears again.

Who cares if he hasnt done anything for 1.6 since he retired? Most pros dont. They retire and that's just about it. Get over it. They dont owe you a damn thing. He can support whatever game he wants. I like how everyone just pin points it to money like you know the person. For one, if he wants to make a living, let him. Two, you've no right or no clue on saying he's just doing it for money. Grow up, stop being sour. And this has nothing to do with element. To say heaton isnt a legend in the game is a joke. Grow up, you kids keep making this about things it has nothing to do with. You guys are to stupid it hurts.

Gotfrag and SoGamed was not even close to this level of stupidity.. sure, there were some bashing, but not to this extent or amount. .. and the there's either a lot of people who actually spend all their time on HLTV.org to troll (which is just straight sad to think about) or they're seriously messed up.

so let's wait 14 years to see if CS:GO is still alive by then and then you can say that. But imo no game will ever be bigger than CS. Started in 1999 and is coming to and end in 2012. It's nearly impossible to beat this.

I dont think so. Just like EG CEO, i laughed so hard i spit out my drink. There's no way. even if we unite 1.6ers and saucers in cs:go comunity, it will not get even close to what 1.6 was in 2002-2006. The world changed, the gamer community changed, neither a new CS1.6 with mothafukcing graphics would have the same succes has 1.6 did. Its logical. Heaton clearly said that for his own profit, he knows he will earn a lot of money if people start to play cs:go, and it becomes a big game.

Why is everyone going apeshit? He expressed his opinion and GO definitely has the capacity to be bigger than 1.6 considering that esports is bigger than ever and has three large communities behind it (CoD, Source and 1.6). Not even to mention the big bank of Valve.

If you got nothing contructive to say, just don't say. Heaton losing all the credibility that he gained for years in just a couple words. Keep your mouth close or this "immature people" will smash you like never before. The community make the game sucessful, not the money that you are putting in your pocket to say such nonsense things. I lost my respect for HeatoN and he was one of the first players that I saw in the past. We have a phrase in Brazil that says something like this: "Don't spit in the dish that you ate."

You dont need to be HeatoN to say that...nor a genius... Just check the requirements of the game. "Hard Disk Space: At least 7.6GB of Space" its way bigger :) *On toppic If the game manages to atracct people from other fps games making one "mega comunity" then it can be successful. I personaly never tried it, this is just one asumption based on some streams i saw and ofc the news that have been around for long still 1.6 will alway be 1.6, that one unique videogame that makes u lauth and "cry", get you mad, pensative or agrassive, and you never get sick of playing it although you are playing mr15 in 5/6 diferent maps for years

wow unbelievable, Heaton going ALL-IN, milking the last drops of his famous alias, but unfortunatly he dont realize the letters "HeatoN" is no longer synonym of what if was, its now just a washedup disgrace propaganda self promoting snake oil salesman kind of guy, and he would do csgo and nip a favor if he just shut up, we KNOW who you are now, we KNOW what your interest is now, everything you say is so predictable that it would be funny if it werent so pathetic. if the game is so fucking great it will go troug the roof soon, no amount of heaton words (quite worthless atm) will help it not the tinies amount. dude save your energy. Make your players start stream or something, thats way to start build 1st step of your dreaming . gl

I actually believe that if CSP is doing something quick now. they will get mostly all of 1.6 players to play that game instead. as well at it will be "new" so new players will play it. so if CSP ever gets finished. I think it will be more popular than CSGO

If you don't like CS:GO, don't play it. If you like CS:GO, don't bash on CS 1.6 lover. if you only love 1.6, don't bash on GO player. as simple as that, no need to butthurt over a game that someone else like and you don't. honestly I think CS:GO is not replacing CS 1.6, it's a different game and it's not even a counter strike.

I'm pretty ok with what he said tbh. people who saying shit like "1.6 would be top for ever lololol" it's just bullshit. People need to grow up.. It's not because you love a game, that you have to act like he is all your life and you want to die with him. I really love CS, and i play this game since ~6y i think, and i'm really happy to play it, but a new game cant make me sad. If a pro on CS want do go on CS:GO why not ? Why talk about him like if he is a moron ? Why did you even care ?! He play what he want, like forest and GTR, they can say if they want that CS:GO will be a good futur for CS-proscene.. If you want to stay on 1.6 because you dont like change, go on, nobody are saying that because NiP is on CS:GO, YOU should go on CS:GO. but dont cry like 8yo child who cant support that other people and pro want and say they will change.. CS:GO isnt that bad, and he isnt here for remplace CS 1.6 but, at least people can choose if they want to change. And for me, CS:GO scene can be more 'interesting' and maybe with time more big than the CS old one, because now, pro can stream, and be more near the fan, i think more people play videogames than 10 year ago. Just grow up guys.. HeatoN dont "forget the title that made him famous", and he is always HeatoN, like Forest and Neo will be always Forest and Neo. And i dont even care if he do that for money (or for living, you know, if someone can get pay for playing a new video game, why he would refuse that mh ?) or just because he think the game is a good remplacement, but maybe they do that for both. And for me, it's really not a bad cause. And again, he dont say "1.6 is shit, go on a real game like CS:GO." he just say that CS:GO can be a bigger thing, like a bigger community. (Sorry for my english, just want to tell you what i think about all of that.)

I imagined that someday 1.6 would be replaced, but for this? REALLY? It looks like COD, its a fuckin PS3 game, its not a game for competitions, how can't you realize that? Its a game you go and play like for 2 hours, it was fun and all, but you can't make it for competitions... Its too dark, has too many textures and super ugly to watch in streams... cs 1.6 has that clean, smooth and syncronized gameplay that is so enjoyable to watch... why it has to be always about money? i'm so disapointed at cs comunity, really really disapointed

You Europeans make me baffle, CS 1.6 is done, they're only 3 tournaments left, the community isn't big as it use to be. CS:GO on the other hand will combine 1.6 players, Source players, and COD/BF3 players. If you guys give GO a chance and play with friends, you'll probably enjoy the game, the 1st time i played CS:GO i thought the game was shit and i wanted nothing to do with it, atleast Valve is trying to make the community happy. CS 1.6 was one of the big games and all, but it's slowly dying because of tournaments and sponsors, you guys can all sit here and play 1.6 or source, but I'm making a switch to CS:GO. I love 1.6, but there's nothing left.

cs:go will combine 1.6, cs:s, cod and bf3? big words backing a game that still has less players than cs 1.6 (source: store.steampowered.com/stats/) besides, i always enjoyed the "no tournaments/money left" -argument from people who have never (and most likely will never) attend any real tournaments :D

lol, the numbers are ridiculous low. Most new games get >100k on steamstats in the first days. I mean CS:GO got hyped for almost 1 year.... Also you can see how a big part of the CSS community switched, but the 1.6 numbers are the same as before.

Wow, I think some of you guys need to step back and read your comments as if someone else had written them and maybe you'd see how immature and retarded you all sound. I'm pretty sure when he said GO will be bigger than 1.6 he meant in terms of the number of teams/tournaments/sponsorship opportunities not how long the game will be around as the main FPS title - which I have to agree has a good chance of happening. I don't know about the rest of the world but certainly in the UK there ever since CSS came out there has been decent sponsorship opportunities even for fairly average teams. If everyone moves from CSS and 1.6, as well as new gamers and gamers from other communities, this game will be huge. Don't forget that it's also out on console, and while us PC gamers bash console gaming and say it's for noobs, console gaming is pretty huge. The fact that the north American eswc qualifier for GO had 300 teams says quite a lot already.

Well then they're idiots :) Most of the top CSS teams have already started playing CS:GO instead and it's pretty obvious the rest of the community will follow if there are tournaments. As for the 1.6 community, the pro scene is dead, competitive people will either quit or move to CS:GO and then everyone else is left playing for fun with no tournaments to play or watch. Likely move, quit or start playing CS:GO.

it looks like it will be bigger than cs 1.6 in the near future, but imo there is no doubt it will ever be bigger than cs 1.6 once was (circa 2010). the north american eswc qualifier for cs:go had 300 teams only because everyone who signed up (for free) was given a cs:go beta key - hundreds signed up just for access to the beta.

Oh, sorry. I was really thinking "this guy is quite right" until the "if everyone moves from CSS and 1.6...". Honestly, one hand on the heart, I think that once a game is awesome there's gonna be a lotta people around it, buying it, following it, supporting it, and not the other way around. I think the game is gettin' better as time passes, but the "if we all move togetha" argument also applies to many things, uthopic things, like if we all shoot a couple of politicians they'd stop corruption, d'yu know what I mean? IMO let people choose which game they enjoy the most, and let sponsors do their work, not us, the gamers. I wouldn't make a switch just because "oh it's a new game which IF I master, I'd had a pro shot, and I'll be a star, etc." and it also stands for the most gamers, you'd agree on that.

wow, its kinda wierd to think that a play like HeatoN is saying that CS:GO is going to be bigger than 1.6. He for one played during the prime of 1.6, and at that time 1.6 was pretty much one of the most and only competetive games in european eSport. And i member ALL of my friends played the game and everybody in school and so on was talking about it. Today i never hear people talk about CS, its more like SC2, LoL, HoN and WoW. So i would believe that compared to that time many playeres have actually swtiched to other genres. So unless more gamers has been born, i would say that it is pretty much impossible for CS:GO to grow as big as CS1.6 was.

Bitch please, it wasn't even bigger than CS 1.6 on it's first day. (CS 1.6 had more players yesterday than GO and Sauce) It's only going downhill from here.

HAHAHA ITS JUST FUCKING FUNNY HOW THIS STUPID 1.6 COMMUNITY ACTING. Heaton the guy who was worshiped for a years. When someone sad anything not good about heaton this stupid 1.6 community acted like a tards. Now its absolutly different, he says that theres retarded community (and everybody here knows it, HLTV community is one one the most immature communities) and everybody bashing him, even when he says the truth. He says nice things about csgo. Hes a traitor cos 1.6 is TOO STRONK 4EVER BEST FPS TITLE OF ALL TIMES, MOST SKILLED GAME EVER NEVER DIE. Right ? Fucking 1.6 community, even when i wish csgo succes, on the other hand i rly wish that this stupid 1.6 community will stay in 1.6 cos it would be a terrible thing to have those people there.

Well maybe i can agree with u. But then u must take what u say and aply it to the whole HLTV 1.6 community and then even multiply it by 10. Cos if heaton is overrated and sometimes kid behave. What is whole 1.6 community ? Its even more overated and i think that kid behave is even "weak" term...

CSPromod was a great idea at the time it was initiated and with their original timeline for launch. The game has however been in development for too long and has become far outdated since compared to the current state of FPS games. CSGO at least makes an honorable attempt to try to bring the game into the current generation of games, which is needed in order to continue to grow and receive extended media support that will help attract sponsors to the industry. With the support CSGO is receiving and probably will continue to receive (as it seems that Valve finally have understood the importance of supporting the game to utilise as a base for selling and advertising their other games), it is clear that CSPromod will never be able to compete at all. Just from these points alone I have to agree complete with Heaton on this matter. It`s a no brainer, CSGO will be the next big competitive FPS game.

It kinda seems obvious that all of CEOs gon' be writing/talking bshit like this, money talks. Don't get me wrong, I kinda even like CS:GO, it's NOT THAT BAD after first hour of playing, but I really think that it shouldn't replace 1.6 as a main fps title. Since I'm a COD4 player, I would go for COD instead GO as a main competetive fps. We'll just have to wait for proper mods to disable this fuckin op molotoves and shitty decoy + this annoying fog on every map, all those make this game truly uncompetetive.

Don't write bullshits, time will do credit to this game, who knows, maybe it will become bigger-maybe not,it's pretty rediculus to discuss this part(whether cs:go wll be bigger or not from 1.6). Ahh,and I agree at that part.."Even on HLTV.org and those websites who have pretty immature people writing comments, it's actually getting better there, too." You can see about 200 idiotic comments and selfish writtings about games, from people that don't even have played competitively a game like cs:go before...If a game is not tested competitively you can't say "mmm Overrated shit" I played the beta,i played the official when it released, and the only thing that matters for it to be a competitive game is the movement, everything else feels good.. thanks for reading!

These two are completely different though, you can't really compare those situations with each other. A more realistic comparison would be between 1.6 and Source, look what happened there.

There willl be a new CS game in about 6-8 from now. With the graphics changing and all. Plus, they usually make new games to update the old versions. Look at Starcraft, WoW, Battlefield, COD and GuildWars for example. 1.6 lasted so long because CS:S didn't meassure up at that time. So maybe we'll see a Counter Strike 2.0 in the very distance future.

For those of you saying he's just up for the money, why wouldn't he be? Or why wouldn't anyone be? How much time and effort do they put in the game? They're not the ones who made 1.6 fade away, we all did by starting other games to play. Eventually this would happen and everybody knows it.. As we know not many "Rookies" is getting as skilled as they perhaps should be, it's like a football club with no youth academy.. Ofcourse the club will eventually fall apart. I've always been a great fan of Counter-Strike and watched games since 2005 and really enjoyed the CS scene so far. It's sad to see CS 1.6 fade away but atleast they are trying to make the CS scene a top game in the world again and I really appreciate that they want to do that. Good Luck to Heaton & Co with their CS:GO team NiP and also to the other teams taking it to the next step. I'll gladly watch your games!

I played this game because there were lot of lan tournaments with some nice prize money and of coures because I really enjoyed it because it was a real competitve game and pro player had more than just enyoj they got payed. And if all of this had not stopped nobody would have stopped playing with it. Who is exactly that killed the game.. not us you little prick...

well hello there my friend from the country noone gives a fuck about. You live in the past my friend and you can't let 1.6 go.. Why do you think sponsors/organisations stopped supporting the prizemoney in the first place? You're obviously not thinking clearly.. And for the part you say they should play just to enjoy it.. How long is that working out you think, forever? Ofcourse people is getting older and retire from the game just like in any sport/e-sport.. 1.6 don't have any youngsters who will take their place since there are to many who don't care about becomming something better just like yourself you little fuck.. Think again please..

I have never said play JUST to enjoy it enjoy was part of why i played with it. You may not know where my country is you dumb fuck but my people have invented more thing that you have no clue you little piece of shit and that is what really determine how a country did in its history not to mention the sport. Sorry.. I am clever enough to know where your country is but not becase you are famous for something just for the simple reason that i know geography. And i have let cs 1.6 go long time now becase i am clever enough to know this whole fuckin thing is about money unlike you you really DUMB fuck, yeah you have proved it many times in your statements how dumbess and stupid you are.

It's so pathetic when one talks about money, considering that, I think, and I am may be wrong on this (stick with me), CS 1.6 players were paid with hugs from sponsors???? Wasn't that the case? Did they actually receive money for their efforts? Again, I may be wrong about. I though it was all about passion for 1.6 and ocasional hug from the sponsors. Please, don't embarass yourself. The world spins around money and 1.6 was not an exception.

ill explain to u: 1.6 pros didnt earn money from day 1 of playing CS. they played years without earning shit. they played it cos they loved the game. and most 1.6 pros didnt get monthly salary anyways. 1.6 was money and passion. cs:go is just money.

You're delusional. There have been prize moneys since 2004 (ESWC, CPL, etc). Yes, they have a lot of passion for the game, but the money is very important as well. If there was no money, 1.6 wouldn't be so big in the pro scene. Face it.

Does he mean that, CS:GO will in its lifetime be bigger than 1.6 has been in its lifetime? That's a bold statement. Maybe he was just innocently stating the obvious (cs:go will overcome 1.6 in the near future or it already has).

guys, cmon! "CS 1.6 > CS:GO" DUH IT'S DIFFERENT GAME. you can play both if you want to. wake up 1.6 fanboy! "1.6 fanboy is BLIND, they do not see CS:GO is the future" even if we(including me) do not believe CS:GO will be the future of "counter-strike", it doesn't mean we have to "yes you're right we're stupid so we HAVE to stop playing CS 1.6 and start playing CS:GO because I live in the past but I'm over it blahblahblah", NO. you people do(es?) not have to play CS:GO if you don't like it. GO lover no need to be butthurt to people who still hate GO and vice versa. c'mon guys! let's end this hatred, it's different game okay? don't split the community even worse than it is now.

U GUYS NEED TO GROW UP, ITS TIME WE ALL MOVE ON! and yeah, CS:GO CAN be bigger than 1.6..

everyone is free to have his/her own opinion. if you dont like the game and if you dont have to play a pc game to earn money then there is no reason to play it?! everyone is free to like or not like the game. why do you say "grow up and everyone move on". you wanna force everyone to like csgo and play it or what? and what means "move on". its a DIFFERENT game. its not 1.6 with slight changes.

Yeah!!! Let's move on, so HeatoN can keep the NIP team with more and more sponsors earning more and more money 'cause in the end we love him. We never really liked CS, we played it because of HeatoN, if he tells us to move, let's do it, he's the god and he knows all. We are being too immature sticking to a game we like playing because in the end we play for the community, for the tournaments, the e-Sport scene, we have to learn enjoying a "inferior" game because it's graphically beautiful and if you don't, it means you haven't played enough, and even if after hundreds of hours played you still don't enjoy, do it for the community for the eSport 'cause we can't live without it. Turning off the irony mode

tired of 1.6? read what ESC said for trying on CSGO, and what Navi's attitude, and cArn fnatic's attitude,,,,its obvious most 1.6 players, great players dont like CSGO, at least for now. its just f0rest GTR xizt---1.6 players, almost like hurry to switch for csgo, god know why, maybe like you said "tired of 1.6" or their lack of motivation at last few 1.6 tourments they underperformed. plus i dont see much hatred on them, just some negative judgement or prediction on their movement for csgo, you are little bit overacting. or on purpose transfer the hatred for csgo?

People have to realize that HeatoN is probably right here... this is the first FPS game that appeals to all FPS gamers... you have top COD players coming over, 1.6 players, source players, Battlefield teams are making their teams and even TF2 is getting in on the mix. HeatoN is probably not saying this for the money, CSGO will be bigger, doesn't mean it'll be a better game though.

The thing is, CS:GO is attracting CS, CS:S, COD, Battlefield and Team Fortress professional players. Casual players don't like the old and rusty gameplay that CS has to offer. Players who stopped pubbing in 1.6/CS:S because they got bored, have no reason to pub in CS:GO. CS isn't a game that rewards players for playing other than increasing their skill, and nowadays that is not enough. Casual players want to unlock exclusive things, things that can identify them, like weapon cammo's, skins or models. 1.6 was once huge because there weren't a lot of competitive (as in large team vs team games) FPS' out there back in the day and because the gameplay was new. 9 years later the FPS' genre has moved on, no way a CS:GO or a 1.6 HD would be as big 1.6 once was. To cater to a new, casual audience the CS franchise needs to go under some major changes, and those changes will happen sooner or later, not with CS:GO though.

If someone like MLG picks it up it very well could be for this era of gamers. But for the people around since 2005 and beyond they will still probably miss the old days more.

Ok now that HeatoN says this i belive it!! In fact this guy knows what he talks about: the perfect tactic man: "shut tu tu trii bullits, move shut tu tu trii bullits!" Ok the game may work for a few years, but once the hype passese away, than Valve will start working on CS:GO#2, and they will keep on doing it till they make the game as competitive as it needs to be for it to to in big tourneys.

When you people agree that cs:go will make way through 1.6, it's obvious becouse cs:go brings new wind in old field! I know haters gonna hate, but in a while cs:go will dominate in fps shooters. I played 1.6 from 2004 till cs:go beta came up to my steam, and i realized that there's no point to play 1.6 anymore, this game to old to compete with new one. Even if cs:go not perfect as 1.6 was for most of all, but in time all will adapt to shooting, new guns and other stuff that came up with this game. You can still say 1.6 will never die, but the sad fact that it will, and it will fall from all global events in less than a year. So if you still want to compete in counter-strike, start to play cs:go becouse 1.6 will not last for long, community and players will move on where's new things and better money

This game is not worth to be played. Scene is dying. Who cares. Better to let it die. Maybe one day morons from valve see through the eyes.

I hope you realize that if CS:GO fails CS will most likely die as an esport.

I really don't understand why a lot of people says that everyone change 1.6 to CS:GO only for money. Everyone who comment this thread didn't makes real money in professional cybersport carrier.

Spot on heaton, people who don't believe that CS:GO will be bigger are way to biased in their opinions. Huge prizepools are popping up and players from various FPS games are creating teams in GO. I for one doesn't enjoy CS:GO as much as I have enjoyed 1.6. But the game is new, and getting patched frequently. And as said earlier if CS:GO fails we will probably not be able to enjoy CS in the esports scene. There is simple no other choice than GO.

Biggest joke ever told. Let's check the situation again in 2024. I highly doubt that CS:GO is still alive. Well, what wouldn't you do for the money.
