place2play.ru to TECHLABS Cup

The fourth team for this weekend's $10,000 TECHLABS Cup has been found as the online qualifier came to a close, seeing place2play.ru beat KerchNET 2-0 to qualify for the event in Kiev, Ukraine.

The Russians qualified by topping the qualifier which saw five teams participating. They won two games, tied one and lost one in the group stage, putting them second in the group heading into the playoffs.

In the playoffs they defeated countrymen from zNation 2-0 and then winning 2-0 against KerchNET in the final to qualify for TECHLABS Cup's Ukrainian event.

This means that following four teams will be duking it out this Saturday:

Natus Vincere	ESC Gaming
Virtus.pro	place2play.ru

The teams will fight for a $10,000 prize purse, of which half will go to the winning team, $3,000 to second place, $1,500 to third and $500 to fourth place.

The one day event will be held at the Karavan shopping center. The schedule as well as additional information about broadcasting has not been released, we will be sure to update you guys once we lay our hands on it.

They will , unless they decide to retire from CS :) No one is going to support 1.6 soon (big tournaments) so there's no point in playing it anymore. CS:GO is the future of professional CS - face it.

CS is one of the only game that never really had a massive change in the past 10 years. Even the differences between 1.3 1.5 and 1.6 weren't that big and the game didn't develop. CS:S was a nice try , but in my opinion it failed because people continued to play 1.6. Now with CS:GO you can see that both professional teams and players from 1.6 and CS:S are playing the game and even creating teams together. This is indeed the future of CS and a big refresh for this game. CS:GO is real CS , even CS:S .. you just need to face the fact that the game you loved is developing.

i was supporting cs:go beta but then when its release i see how is bad this game.. this game is fun to play with friends and etc.. but not for esport for sure.. even updates valve is doing in wrong way..

Really hoping to see an ESC vs. Na'Vi final, especially considering this is ESC's last 1.6 event. If it does come down to ESC and Na'Vi in the finals, I'll be rooting for Na'Vi to get their revenge for the IEM VI finals!
