Fragbite to host €15,320 tournament

Fragbite have partnered up with CDON to host a €15,320 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament.

Our friends and colleagues over at Fragbite will hold a total of eight qualifiers throughout October and November, advancing one team each round to the finals which will ultimately culiminate at Kistamässan in Kista, Stockholm between December 8-9.

The qualifiers, with the exception of one in November, will be open to 64 teams. The qualifier in question has its dates set to the same as DreamHack Winter and is therefore still on the drawing board.

The winning side will be rewarded with the staggering amount of €11,784, while second and third-placed teams will cash in €2,357 and €1,178, respectively. Moreover, teams that manage to qualify are required to accommodate travel and stay on their own.

Below is the qualifier schedule:

The maps that have been selected for the tournament are de_dust2_se, de_train_se, de_inferno_se, Sal "Volcano" Garozzo's de_nuke_ve, de_mirage_csgo and de_mill_b1.

Pus, you could have written 130000 sek tournament in the heading And at the bottom of the body of the blog, you could have given the converted prize money of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places

No no, you didn't get me You could have written the whole blog in sek (since it has nicer numbers) But just give the conversions at the end of the blog Just a suggestion And in the contact section, could you put up details of the working members of HLTV (with pics and everything)? It would be nice :)

Why didnt they use de_inferno_ce?

Because based on the current state of play I guess it isn't being used regularly enough. Personally as well, I don't like it. Some parts are great, but instead of making it completely like 1.6 I think some of the CSGO additions are better.

Not sure about you but i hate CS:GO and CS:Source's de_inerno. I can openly use the HATE word for that map. 1.6 de_inferno is the best among various versions imo. One of the reasons is that the map feels so much cramped. Everything is so narrow. I hate that.

The mid-stair plateu (like inferno_sk Remake) should be implemented. That's the element im missing the most at this csgo inferno. Also, the banana should be made a bit more wide, doesnt needs to be like 1.6 (and it shouldnt) just somewhere in between current GO-version would improve the skill decision and spectator feeling quite much i think. Bcuz overall i get the feeling its a little bit to narrow in some at the halls. Like mentioned - kinda meet somewhere between would be optimal i think.

Yeah, banana is the only area I dislike. But the other bits I don't see any benefit to changing other than making the mmaps easy and more spammable (boxes etc)

+1 I prefer that ce version. It has higher skill ceil in some certain parts. Especially the blocked hallway at CT's home. It makes the teams think more carefully before they call a rotation. On the other hand, it'll be annoying that every leagues use different maps,which is not going to happen.
