The cs 1.6 community is one of the worst communitys ever. They hate CS:GO still watch the videos. WTF is wrong with them? Play your beloved CS 1.6 like the fanboys you are. Then we who moved on to CS:GO can do that, we dont wanna hear you idiotic comments!

There is nothing wrong with criticizing the things you don't like. Criticizing CS:GO is no more unacceptable than you criticizing the fact that people are criticizing. Obviously, if there is such outspoken disdain for GO whenever a news story about it or video gets posted, a fairly large proportion of the HLTV.org community is pretty unhappy about GO. Tournaments are dropping their beloved game and picking up one that think is a piece of crap. I'd be upset too. For them, the only way they can see tournaments picking up 1.6 again is if they publicly say, "Hey, I don't like this shit. It sucks. It is CS in name only. Give me 1.6 back." If no one says anything and just says great things about GO then tournament organizers will think we are all happy with GO, which couldn't be further from the truth. Criticism is good and it lets the people calling the shots know how we feel -- pissed off.

But they might be.. they're still potential customers. Organizations don't think like that " they didn't buy our game so fuck them " .. they actually think " they didn't buy it.. WHY ??! what could we do to make them change their minds ". So yeah, criticism is good. And the fact some people don't like the game doesn't mean it's forbidden for them to give an opinion. You guys are just angry to see that not everybody is saying " wow nice, super game " ..

Clearly you haven't played it if you think the guns dont have recoil... The recoil when spraying at current is so different to CSS or 1.6, and if you try to spray and run its near impossible (with rifles, not SMGs). People whining about it simply can't control it, you just need to tap like in any other iteration of the game.

Yeah, you clearly know more about eSports and CS history than people like SirScoots and chibsquad (owners/managers of EG) to say that GO won't fail. Both of them have said they have doubts for the game's future, and comparing GO's numbers to Dota 2's (closed beta) is a pretty good indication that CS isn't going to be one of the major eSports any more. SC2/LoL/Dota 2 are making CS look insignificant and there's no way GO is getting a sudden increase in player count. Competitive CS is fucking dead compared to other games' scenes because Valve are completely out of touch with the comp scene. The reason Dota 2 is so popular is because it was made for competition (thanks IceFrog) and it is an exact port of DotA 1, which is exactly what the community wanted. CS:GO on the other hand is trash and will remain a dead game unless there's a miracle at Valve where they decide to rework the whole game entirely.

couldnt say any better, cs:go enthusiasts can say whatever they want, cs:go isnt 1/4 exciting as 1.6 used to be, valve made it look more CODish because COD sold alot, but that doesnt mean that combining COD with 1.6/source is good, and the proof is that when i see this highliths or even a cs:go stream, i just cant feel half the excitement that 1.6 gave and some times still gives me, behind this "failure" im using the " " because i think that cs:go can have a good competitive scene, but i can assure you that it wont be for too long, probably 2 years from now the game will eventualy die, the same way 1.6 died but much faster, since there isnt any improves from 1.6 to cs:go (imo), the recoil is lolbad, the movement too, and they made a COD/source lookish style wich wasnt what 1.6 supporters wanted in the first place.

Honestly, what a pile of shit you just typed... How do you update the graphics in a game and not make it look similar to BF3 or COD. Every FPS game is based around the same thing, 2 teams shooting each other. Of course they are going to look the same??? The problem isn't that Valve have ignored the competitive community. It's that PC FPS gaming is just too small of a market compared to console FPS gaming. Steam stats of people playing shouldn't dictate how many people watch it, as the large majority of players watching are likely to be from other games. FPS is simple to understand and easy to watch with tense action, I find CSGO just as good as any other version of CS for that. edit: if 1.6 users got what they wanted, a new game wouldn't of been developed, tournaments would still be playing 1.6.

Nice read. Everybody wants the exact same thing as 1.6 and that would be a waste of money and time to develop. Even in 2008 i remember Ksharp saying that he rather retire than still keep playing 1.6 because theres no excitement playing the game anymore. Same stuff, same strats, same players, same maps. When you play it for 10 years, its getting really frustrating to play i anymore. And with the updates Valve are making, I think it will be enough for Go

"Steam stats of people playing shouldn't dictate how many people watch it" Yes, they obviously do, and if you think otherwise you're deluded. We could bring up some of the stream numbers for GO since you think player count isn't a good indicator of spectator interest -- oh wait, nobody watches GO streams because there are hardly any people playing it. Look at twitch.tv and how many people are streaming other games (SC2, LoL, Dota 2) with much higher viewer counts What about tournament streams, what's the highest spec count GO has ever gotten? 1000 maybe? Yeah, I'm sure that'll be able to compete with games like LoL that are regularly pulling in 100k viewers!

Did you even read what I wrote?? Never said CSGO could compete with MOBA games, infact I said it can't! All I said was that you can't base viewing figures on players. Every sport is the same, you don't need to play something to watch it and be interested in it. So thanks for calling me delusional but I think I'm being quite logical with that...

Since when anybody from Valve or any pro players said Go is the next big thing in Counter Strike? No one said that. Retarded people like you think that way. If you want a new Counter Strike, then wait Counter Strike 2. I can bet you that it will be released faster than Promod witch people are for some reason exited about it

What are you talking about? You're the one that said GO won't fail, but you don't seem to understand that it's already failed, and already big names in eSports have called the game out and have their doubts about it. Isn't that what failing is? It's obvious just looking at the game's current reception and player counts that this isn't going to be the competitive title everyone wants it to be. The only thing CS:GO has going for it is it's name, being part of the "Counter-Strike" franchise, but if it had been called COD:GO and released by Activision nobody except 13 year old kids and their XBOXs would give a shit about it. Good job quoting 1 washed up NA pro on CS 1.6 getting boring for him (probably said it around the same time CGS came out where he was being PAYED to play CSS btw), whilst right now you can look at teams like ESC and Na`Vi making fun of CS:GO because quite frankly it's complete trash compared to 1.6 and I could get you plenty more quotes. ESC have said that they'd rather play LoL than GO, and Na`Vi have said they'd rather play Dota 2. CS is what made the big organisations like EG, Na`Vi, coL big, but what about now? CS is NOTHING to them, they've all moved on. All 3 of those organisations recently had their Dota teams playing in a $1,600,000 USD tournament, with Na`Vi taking back $250,000 this year and winning the $1,000,000 last year. i.imgur.com/AN0QS.png - as shown in the screenshot, at the time of writing this Dota has over 100k players, while GO sits on 15k. A game in CLOSED BETA is making a game that has already reached RETAIL look like a joke. 1.6 sits on 44k, which is much more respectable than GO, and has been out for ~10 years. GO/Source fanboys need to grow up and realise that CS is DEAD and it isn't coming back any time soon.

Why did I even bother reading this wall of crap. And calling Ksharp a washed up player is mentally retarded when the dude played since 1.0 competitive and probably knows more about Counter Strike than you will ever know in your 15 years of life. And if you think that CS died with 1.6 then please go suicide in you're basement with a copy of 1.6

When was the last time Ksharp was a relevant player in CS? You're quoting someone that was paid to play in CGS, good job. Competitive CS did indeed die with 1.6. Source failed to reach anywhere near 1.6's level of competitive popularity, and as for GO, well, the game doesn't have a bright future. And apparently now I'm 15 years old, and would this happen to be KYLE? If so, please avoid trying to call anyone else out for their age because your voice wasn't near breaking and were about 13 when 1.6 was popular. Apologies if I've gotten the wrong person, but nonetheless, I'm not 15. Steam stats don't lie, and if you choose to act as if you can't read them then that's something I cannot help you with.

He doesn't play anymore. And still if he would have choose to play 1.6 after CGS collapse, witch would be a waste of time and fRoD is a good example, he would have been a top awp'er even if he didn't use the awp that much in the last years. And what does CGS have to do with getting payed if all the pro players do the same thing with 1.6? And please, Go has a better future, than 1.6 will ever have right now

Difference is he was getting paid a decent salary under a contract with CGS while 1.6 players right now are getting paid next to nothing and can speak their mind without having to worry about their financial situation. How the fuck can GO have a better future than 1.6? 1.6 was THE MAIN esport title for YEARS. Do you really think GO even has a chance of reaching that status and competing with all the popular RTS style games which are dominating the scene? Like I said before, if you don't know how to read numbers it's your own problem. GO has hardly any players, tournaments, money, it's in retail, and there's no chance of it suddenly skyrocketing. You were about 11 years old at 1.6's peak, it's pretty hilarious that you'd even try to take away from what I've said by calling me 15.

You're such a bad troll. Do me a favor and actually read what i write. Every good team paid salaries and thats why pro players preferred to play a game than rather work a job for the same amount of money. "was THE MAIN" thats the problem IT WAS. Go has players, no one said it has to have the same amount as 1.6, when 1.6 right now consists of random players playing it when steam came out. And again, read some news, you're either blind, or you don't want to except the fact that Go will have 3 tournaments with 9k, 15k, and 20k prize money.

Forget about CS 1.6, just look at GO on it's own. 14,000 players. 14K. Doesn't that mean anything to you? This game is about as popular as FarmVille is a competitive title - NOT AT ALL. Do you really think sponsors are going to keep funding tournaments for a game with no future?

Its back on steam top 10 with 16k players, so thats good. And you just answered your own question, no, thats why every tournament dropped 1.6 in the first place. As for Go, we will see. And its not to you to decide who has future, and who has not

Difference being 1.6 had been out for 10 years. CS:GO on the other hand has 2 years, max. It isn't for anyone to decide what game has a future, I'm being a realist and looking and which games are popular and have potential to be big esports titles. CS:GO isn't one of them unless Valve make some big changes to the game. I know the EG management are huge CS fans (no shit, they're the same guys from when EG first started), and they've said that as much as they want GO to succeed they have doubts. Take it as you will.

And Go has been out for less than 2 months. And I actually agree that it has 2-3 years, you why know? Because it was based as an console game and in the last minute, Valve decided to make it on PC also for more bucks. And I can't blame them for that, because they said themselves its not going to replace neither 1.6 or Source

I'm not talking about videos only, I'm talking about the whole thing. Everything is about GO, and lots of retarded people from CSS are coming here, I don't think I can stand that for some more time.

Technically he's not even spraying.. He taps the first few headshots as they pass through his molotov then he sprays the guy at close range (nearly impossible to miss at that range while spraying). Then he finishes off the last guy with the first few bullets he shoots.
