CAI duo form Volt Gaming
A new Swedish CS:GO team called Volt Gaming has been created with two former members of Cold as Ice.
Mikail "eksem" Bill and Stefan "nibble" Wård announced last month that they had decided to revive the CAI name by putting together a new team with former 1.6 players.
However, the Swedish duo's time with CAI was short-lived, as they felt the project was not strong enough to make its mark in the scene.
Bill and Wård are joined by ex-Hardwire member Erik "zeki" Mattsson and Niclas "xeron" Putero, who in 2008 played alongside the likes of Andre "BARBARR" Möller and Faruk "pita" Pita in Playzone.
The last player on the team is Christopher "hurley" Sotkasiira, a fairly unknown player in the Swedish 1.6 scene who has now been given his first chance to shine at a top level.
"We played a lot with our roster in CAI but after 1-2 weeks we felt that some players did not have the same hunger as the rest of us, and we decided to do some changes," Wård told HLTV.org.
"We played with like 2-3 different players and did not feel the real "team-spirit".
"Then Erik contacted me and wanted to play with some of us from CAI and after a week we felt that it was the right decision to play with zeki, xeron, hurley and we joined Volt-gaming for a fresh start."
Despite coming back with the Volt Gaming name, the Swedish team is currently on the lookout for an organisation.
Volt are represented by the following players:
Mikail "eksem" Bill
Stefan "nibble" Wård
Erik "zeki" Mattsson
