Team xXx beat mTw, qualify for ESWC
mTw has fallen short against Team xXx in the ESWC Germany grand final 1-2 (11-16, 16-11, 20-22), which means that xXx will travel to Paris in three weeks as the German representative.
Despite cutting Johan "face" Klasson just over a week ago, mTw came into this match as favorites, even with Andre "nooky" Utesch unable to play due to personal vacation and Aaron "AaroN" Hemmings still adjusting to the team.
mTw's eligibility for the qualifier has been in question in the recent weeks as they currently field two Brits, one Canadian, one Turkish and one German player with a Polish stand-in stepping in for the only German, yet are somehow allowed to participate in the German qualifier.
Earlier in the qualifier gamed!de took mTw, who had earlier gotten a BYE win and taken down NOD, to their limits in a close three map series that saw Joshua "steel" Nissan's team edge out the win in the end.
Team xXx on the other hand had to overcome three opponents in logiX, ALTERNATE and Tt.Dragons in order to book themselves a spot in the finals, as they were given a measly seventh seed going into the tournament.

Troubley to represent Germany at ESWC again
Action opened up on de_train_se where an extremely strong terrorist side saw xXx jump up to a 11-2 lead before mTw got back into the game in the final two rounds, shortening their deficit to 4-11.
Momentum allowed mTw to win the CT pistol round, but mTw won three straight gun rounds to make it 7-14. Continuous mistakes then allowed mTw back in the game, but in the end xXx closed the game out at 11-16.
Next up was de_inferno_se where xXx came out strong, winning the pistol round as terrorists as well as the first gun round to make it 5-0. They were given a chance to extend that lead, but sloppy 1v1 play in the next round allowed mTw in the game.
mTw would go onto win the next seven rounds, before mTw stroke back to make it 6-7. xXx attempted a B attack in the following round but a well placed Indenciary grenade stopped it, allowing mTw to finish the half 9-6.

approx still sits on top of the German CS scene after all these years
A well executed retake allowed xXx to win their CT pistol round to make it 9-9. The Germans' weak B hold and inability to adjust over and over again ended up being their demise though, as mTw forced a third map with a 16-11 win.
mTw's B attack was shut down by xXx to begin de_dust2_se, as xXx won the first three rounds. Next six were split, making it 6-3. mTw won round ten, but xXx won a save round, turning the momentum to their favor as they ran to a 10-5 lead.
The German side continued strong as terrorists, claiming the first three rounds to make it 13-5. mTw fought back, making it 12-14 before xXx forced gamepoint. Fittingly, the match headed to overtime after 30 rounds of regulation.
In overtime xXx finally found answers to mTw's CT play, scoring two rounds in the first half. After winning two themselves, it looked as if mTw would go on to win, but a force buy effort from xXx proved successful as they forced a second overtime.
mTw once again started off strong with two round wins as terrorists, but this time xXx would top it with three rounds of their own to clinch the map 22-20 and win the German ESWC qualifier.
