€3,000 PROG4MER league announced

A new league in the Benelux called PROG4MER has been created, featuring €3,000 in cash prizes.

The tournament, which will boast a total of eight teams, four from the Netherlands and four from Belgium, will kick off with a round-robin phase, played online, which means that every team will play against each other.

The top four teams will then qualify for the LAN finals at Gamebox in Antwerp on December 9th, with the €3,000 prize purse being distributed as follows:

1. €1,800
2. €750
3. €300
4. €150

The schedule of the online league and the participants' list look as follows:

Round 1: October 31st
Round 2: November 7th
Round 3: November 14th
Round 4: November 18th
Round 5: November 21st
Round 6: November 24th
Round 7: November 28th

instead of flaming new initiatives, you guys should embrace events like this, it gives teams and also "the new guys" more motivation to play a game, CS-GO is not only made for the 1.6 and source guys, otherwise they simply kept those two games alive and kickin'. It's the fact that a new generation is here to keep this fourth serie of the cs franchise alive... you guys don't need to be that cocky or arrogant, there is always place for new talent and new motivated players, instead of flaming this kind of great cs:go scene initiatives, you should be more positive. just my 2 cents #yolo!

First prize should be 1800 EUR not 1850, I believe. Probably one of the better prized leagues we have in the BeNeLux at the moment, so it is more than welcome. Of course, it might not amount to what is seen in other countries in the EU, but it's a great step forward.
