Team X join Absolute Legends
Absolute Legends have announced that they have opened their doors to the CS:GO squad known as Team X.
This decisions spells the end of the previous Absolute Legends team, whose future had been up in the air for some time after André "BARBARR" Möller joined fm-eSports TOXiC for the ESWC finals and Joel "emilio" Mako linked up with the former H2k Gaming squad.
Team X was formed last month with former fnatic talent Faruk "pita" Pita at the helm of the project, alongside other familiar faces from the 1.6 and CS:Source scenes likes Jim "zneel" Andersson and Alexander "rdl" Redl.
Their first results in online tournaments were far from impressive, but the team's victory in Saturday's THOR Open qualifier has proved their doubters wrong.
"It is nice to be back once again in the e-Sport business, though this this time for CS:GO," Pita told Absolute Legends' website.
"There has been a lot of confusion regarding the game in its early stages, but I believe that these last months the game has grown into a better competitive FPS game, and that is why I decided to make a comeback.
"I have a great team with a lot of potential. From day 1 we have been becoming better and better and we are of course aiming to be among the top.
"It feels good that we have been given this oppurtunity and we will do everything to be a team that people can count on, focusing on practice and discipline.
"Our first tournament will be Dreamhack and we are feeling good enough to win it."
Absolute Legends have the following line-up:
Faruk "pita" Pita
Jim "zneel" Andersson
Markus "pronax" Wallsten
Jonathan "lidde" Lidgren
Alexander "rdl" Redl
Faruk "pita" Pita
Jim "zneel" Andersson
