Na`Vi elaborate on CS:GO plans

After Na`Vi's manager Aleksander "ZeroGravity" Kokhanovsky announced the CS team's plans of trying out CS:GO during ESWC, the squad has now elaborated on their plans on the team's website.

Na`Vi bursted out onto the international scene at their debut event under the Natus Vincere name in March 2010, as they became world champions in CS 1.6 by winning IEM 4 Global Finals and $50,000.

Since then the team went on to win over $220,000 in prize money during 2010 beating all previous records, and have one of the most dominant years in CS' history.

It all started for Na`Vi in Hannover over two and a half years ago

Together with fnatic the Ukrainian side has stayed dedicated to CS 1.6 as some of the last teams, while a vast majority has switched over to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which is blooming on the tournament circuit.

Today Kokhanosky chimed in with more information for the fans:

"We have taken a final decision to try out CS:GO as a new and upcoming e-Sports title. We should not compare CS 1.6 and CS:GO because they are completely different games with a similar weapon and map setting. It will be a TOUGH CHALLENGE for the guys as they are not 17-20 years old anymore and right now time spent for gaming is much more valuable. I do not know who will be able and who will want to switch to CS:GO after these 60 days are over. I am asking all our fans all over the world to support our players during their streams, official matches and tournaments.  Despite your taste for the new game, your support is really important to our players as it gives them confidence in their capabilities. On the other side you will be able to follow ceh9, Zeus, markeloff, Edward & starix team matches and success all together!"

One of the best AWPers in the history of the game, Yegor "markeloff" Markelov also shared his thoughts on Na`Vi's CS:GO plans:

"Just because it is a new game and it is very different from the good-old Counter-Strike 1.6, we will have to play a lot every day to achieve the same level we had in Counter-Strike 1.6. You will be able to follow not only our DM and mix games, but also our team practice in our streams. CS still remains for me a favorite game. We will do our best to become the same example to follow for everyone we were in CS 1.6, that's what I can promise to all our fans"

Finally, the in-game leader Danilo "Zeus" Teslenko wanted to emphasize how much the fanbase's support means to the team:

"While it may sound a bit strange, but we are really starting to play CS:GO. Time will tell weather it is good or bad. First of all we have to do that because we have no other choice. Right now CS:GO does not have good ratings, but the tournaments are announced every week while there is almost no events for CS 1 6. We are going to play 4-6 hours per day. We haven't discussed the exact preparation plan, but I guess we are going to stick to our 1.6 experience by improving both our individual and team skill at the same time.

I think that everyone wants to do what he likes the best in his life and in this aspect I got lucky as I've been playing my favorite game for 10 years. Right now we are changing to СS:GO and I will be convincing myself that I shall enjoy this game too, but I do not know if that works out or not. I'd like to say the following to our fans: CS:GO is completely new game which is very different to CS 1.6. We will have new tournaments, triumphant victories and saddening losses here. It is very important to me to feel the support of our sincere fans that have been supporting us for years. I can't even imagine if we could get these achievements without you... That's why stay with us and let's conquer the world now in CS:GO!))"

Natus Vincere have so far not announced any tournaments or online leagues they are planning on participating in for CS:GO, but you can find their streams from the HLTV.org front page.

Na`Vi are going to need new players, if they want to be successful in CS:GO imo the only players in thier current 1.6 lineup that will make a decent transition is markeloff and starix. I feel zues and Edward and more "sprayers" then your OMG 1 SHOT HS and this game just doesnt allow you to be a successful sprayer. And same goes for ceh9. But on the same token if they practice alot of hours together they might be strong relying more on thier tactics than their aim(similar to ESC).

I really dont know which matches you saw? :S also marik might have a rough time much like all the other 1.6 awpers seem to, but lets wait n see ;I

Rofl, bcos SK gaming quit 1.6, thats the only reason fnatic is at the top, I understand the last tourney they plyd with SK, fnatic did beat SK gaming ( a very close match though). If ESC gaming comes back with good practise, I think fnatic will start losing as they did before.

Yeah seriously who cares? They didn't go against 2010 Na`Vi so it's a different thing. Try to get 220k$ in 9 months as Na`Vi did :)) I think the thing about fnatic winning is the motivation.. new lineup and so much passion for the team at that time, same happened with Na`Vi in 2010 !

Well then tell me, since you say they were sick at _2010_, tell me why you think they will just randomly go 2010ish and become top 1-2 in so much smaller time than any other team has had on them to practice? Your logic equals my asshair.. Edit: typo

I think it would be a hell of a match but you can't compare 2010 to 2012 since 2010 they were dominating with their anti strats etc but 2012 fnatic just rapes with their aim... DON'T YOU FUCKING UNDERSTAND?

I do but youre dead wrong if you think xizt n co did not put in slot of effort @ tactics aswell Also navi also had edward and marik whisky insane aim won them matches. I do feel that 2010 ceh9 was a tad better than he was last few events Also navi started out antistratting but later in 2010 other teams were watching their demos instead of vice versa, so it probably had most to do with the amount of hours they put in (which came from motivation, which came from arbalets money) Kind of lost track of what we disagreed on btw ;p

"I do feel that 2010 ceh9 was a tad better than he was last few events" - You definitely didn't see how esenin was playing, he was making a lot of clutch rounds, last events was best for him. Agree with fnatic watching Na'Vi demos and making anti-strats versus them.

I say Navi suks - only 2 plrs are good markeloff and edward. Navi was good in 2010 bcos of big time camping, slow gamers. The 3 best teams of all time are SK, Fnatic and present ESC gaming. These 3 are the proper cs clans, the way they rush, flashing and aim wise they are best. Navi always want to try tricks and win. Once Taz told in public that Navi was watching main screen and killing enemies. Another instance Taz said Navi captain used to watch the HLTV stream and pick positions. I really dont respect Navi so much, aint a good team. except 2 good plrs markeloff and Edward. I am sure Navi will not do a great job in CSGO.

Would've been funny but I don't think they will since first of all the Na'Vi players doesn't seem motivated at all changing the game, they, just as any other team needs the prizemoney. If they wont stop crying that 1.6 is dying and there is new times, they wont be evolving as much as they need. I mean fine, Na'Vi.. Definately one of the best teams in CS history and what they achieved in 2010 was huge, but look at i.e. NiP, they have 5 players loving the game feeling motivated as hell. I think its ridiculous that you keep fanboying NaVi when the whole team is basically against the new game.. Allthough, it's NaVi we're talking about =p

Tbh I seriously don't give a fuck about NiP ... f0rest is the only good player for me there. Na`Vi can achieve anything if they want. But atm it seems NiP is the strongest CS:GO team but VeryGames is pretty much behind so imo Na`Vi has slight chance to beat VG and after like DreamHack Winter they'll get to practice the game more and I am sure Na`Vi can be top1-2 there. f0rest and getright already knows Na`Vi ... I am sure they'll be a little bit nervous playing against these guys since they've lost many times to them in 1.6 :)))

New games, new teams, new goals and most important.. changes. I'm not saying that NaVi will be bad but I don't think they will get top 1-2 inbefore maybe 5 tournaments have been played. They might train but they wont get safe on lan during just one tournament :p

Let the new times CS:GO come, it's not the same game it used to be, times are different now.. 1.6 went out in the right time and that's why it become so popular and extremely good among players all over the world. Now this means new times, new players will come out. Remember zet, vilden, potti? Na'vi become famous in 2010, before fnatic, mibr & sk where the top teams. Remember when GTR was playing on SK? And they treated him like a freaking kid.

Navi is a good CS team, with loads of experience and I dont think they would require too much of a effort to play CS GO. They have good game sense and these maps are almost same, coordination has always been with them. All they need is to adjust to CS GO shooting skills -GG. Navi I am sure gonna be a very good CS GO team along with Nip, ESC Gaming, Fnatic and mousesports. My judgement will never go wrong :).

Yeah never.I hope they will be on top. But to really be on top they need to love it like they loved cs1,6 and I don't see that happening just yet. And aren't some members becomming dad or recently became one? Or they just posted that they didn't like it, but praccticed it nonstop in secrecy. To like surprise Nip or something like that :P. You never know. I hope they did. Otherwise it's gonna be hard to catch up to NiP I'm afraid.

say Navi suks - only 2 plrs are good markeloff and edward. I am sure Navi will not do a great job in CSGO

doesnt matter wot u say bout navi... they kept playin wid the same line up rather than experimentin evry now n then 4 a win like the other teams did...
