Anexis, 3DMAX qualify for DHW

Anexis and 3DMAX have both secured spots at DreamHack Winter after reaching the Grand Final of HLTV.org's international qualifier.

The Danish duo had been in a tremendous vein of form during the early stages of the tournament, and were able to keep up the pace in the last-four stage to get their hands on the two places at DreamHack Winter.

On the first map, de_mirage_csgo, Anexis were forced to use Frederik "zn0pe" Larse as a stand-in for René "cajunb" Borg, who was still at work, but the Danes were not affected by this change at all and comfortably ran out 16-5 victors.

 Anexis K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating1.0
22 - 11 +11 - - 1.57
18 - 8 +10 - - 1.44
21 - 15 +6 - - 1.40

12 - 16 -4 - - 0.73
8 - 18 -10 - - 0.46
8 - 19 -11 - - 0.42

de_dust2_se then followed, and with Borg now in the ranks, Anexis kept their momentum going to win the map 16-8 and book a place at the event in Jönköping.

 Anexis K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating1.0
25 - 15 +10 - - 1.59
23 - 14 +9 - - 1.50

The other semi-final contest pitted Western Wolves against the surprise package of the tournament, 3DMAX, who had already eliminated k1ck and mousesports.

After winning de_mirage_csgo 16-9, the Danish side came out on top on de_inferno_se 16-12 to add their name to the participants' list for the Swedish event.

 3DMAX K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating1.0
40 - 29 +11 - - 1.16
35 - 23 +12 - - 1.13

25 - 35 -10 - - 0.78

3DMAX and Anexis will face each other on Thursday at 21:00 to determine the winner of the qualifier, even though both teams have earned themselves places at DreamHack Winter, which will be held from November 22nd-24th.

There will also be a third-place decider between ALERNATE and Western Wolves, with the winner of that match going to DreamHack in case 3DMAX or Anexis cannot make it.

Considering we're used to only one team (maybe two) for so many years and only one has really done that well back in 2008. It's good to know such a tiny country with minimal population can come up with so many teams :P

It's too early to say but it's possible Denmark is in CS:GO like Sweden was in 1.6, but still too early to say. I'd hope so though!

yeah, cause Sweden always had like 1 or 2 teams in the top of the 1.6 scene. Dk now has a lot of cs:go teams, but its too soon to say if they can challenge NIP yet. but they sure as hell can challenge the other swedish teams. and with the late change of fnatic to ur side, idk :) gl though.
