mouz win 16-6, put ESC in trouble

Mousesports' UK squad began their DreamHack campaign with an impressive victory over the Polish Golden Five, 16-6 on de_inferno_se, and are now sharing the first place in Group A with NiP.

The second match of the first round in Group A, between ESC Gaming and mousesports was delayed for almost an hour due to a malfunctioning PC that had to be completely replaced.

When the match on de_inferno_se finally started, the UK squad demonstrated that they are very much prepared for the task at hand. James "Mx" Smale was the star of the beginning, getting 4 P2000 kills to bring his team the pistol round, while Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn stepped up in the first buy round with 4 AWP kills and mouz went up 4-0.

After another eco by ESC, the Poles finally pulled off a couple of successful attacks, but another nice round from Smale, as he won a one-on-two, put mousesports up 6-2.

ESC quickly got back into the game by reducing the deficit to 5-7, but the Brits were the better team in the first half as they defended the last three rounds for a 10-5 lead, with Gawn and Smale topping the scoreboard with 14 kills each.

The second half pistol round also went to them, practically giving mouz a 13-5 lead and bringing the match to a close. The Poles only managed one more round until the end of the match, and it ended up 16-6.

ESC now find themselves in a decent amount of trouble, as mousesports are sharing the top spot of Group A together with NiP, while the Poles will need to get a good result against the Swedes and to beat fnatic in order to have chances at going through.

Yes playing since2007 and knew almost all the old real 1.6ers from SK and fnatic mTw, NoA ... but never heard about these bunch of saucers sorry !! And btw, cs:GO is an UNSKILLED game, and sorry if you're a Source player defending the source engine, but it sucks a looooot (good graphics but very bad handling)

Yes, predictions should be based on past results and the overall knowledge of the players in the teams. He basically put mouz last because they are css players. And they rape your #1 1.6 team with less practice than them.

that are the results, retard l2r they've basically lost all their momentum by missing ESWC after a qualifier loss against a fm.TOXiC team that just about everyone has now deemed weak and who lost against ESC in ESWC, Much like fnatic we haven't actually seen mouz play much online, apart from a very weak 4-16 loss versus Redzone.

he probably didn't reply because you're an idiot. mouz had poor results heading into this tournament, and no lan showings. they lost eswc qualifiers to fm.toxic who simply isn't a top tier team at this point in csgo. esc played relatively well at eswc given their limited practice while fnatic was the #1 1.6 team in the world when they made the switch. if you can't see the logic in placing mouz 4th, then i've got nothing else for you. "but he puts fnatic ahead of them? Are you braindead?" seeing as how the game between mouz and fnatic was 16-14, no i don't think he's braindead. thanks for the win!

He put fnatic ahead of mouz even though fnatic didn't play cs:go at all purely on the fact they were good in 1.6. Then got owned. You say not owned? It's d2. noobs can get 10+ rounds vs a good team. mouz 16-14 vs NiP on a map that they never really played in css.

you have stated in other threads that group A is between nip, mouz and fnatic which is essentially saying it's between mouz and fnatic. so i have no idea why you're arguing against fnatic right now. i'm not saying lurppis' predictions were correct, but they were logical. mouz had absolutely terrible showings prior to dreamhack. fnatic wasn't just good in 1.6, they were the best in the world. that's saying a lot regardless of which game it is. it isn't hard to see why someone would go with that kind of potential especially when mouz hasn't done a single thing to show any potential in cs:go at all. "it's d2. noobs can get 10+ rounds vs a good team" stop. just stop.
