Lemondogs to semis over aL

Lemondogs have proceeded to semi-finals by defeating Absolute Legends 2-0 (16-13 on de_inferno_se, 16-7 on de_dust2_se). The former BuggIT squad secured themselves a portion of the $45,000 prize purse and will fight with VeryGames for a spot in the grand final later.

Two local teams, Lemondogs and Absolute Legends, who only secured their DH Winter spots 2 days ago by getting out of the BYOC qualifier, were drawn to meet in the quarter-final of the tournament meaning that at least one of them would continue their fairy tale.

Lemondogs came out on top of Group D undefeated and they were slight favorites in this match because of that. The first map was their pick, de_inferno_se, on which yesterday they drew with n!faculty and were able to beat Team Dynamic 16-4.

The former BuggIT squad started as terrorists and went up 5-0. AL's flawless victory in the 6th round didn't help them much, as they dropped the next two rounds to clutch play of Lemondogs, with André "berg" Kjellberg clinching a 1vs2 for a 7-1 advantage.

The leading team's star in this map, Simon "twist" Eliasson, kept being a thorn in aL's side, flanking all the time, including the 10th round when he already picked up his 15th kill and helped his team go up 9-1. However, as they did yesterday against Anexis and at the end of first half against Dynamic, Lemondogs once again became complacent and let their opponents start a comeback, with the half ending 11-4.

Absolute Legends took the pistol rounds as well thanks to Jonathan "lidde" Lidgren and Faruk "pita" Pita's 2-on-3. After the necessary ecos by LD, aL won the first buy round too and the score was now 11-8.

However, Eliasson saved an AWP which proved crucial in the next round. Even though three of his teammates were on eco, he recorded three AWP kills and enabled LD to get their first CT round for 12-8.

That brought them back into the game mentally and soon after that they reached match point at 15-9. AL didn't give up yet, getting the next 3 rounds, but then they lost a 2vs2 situation and GGs were being exchanged as Lemondogs were supposed to defuse the C4. However, the bomb exploded prolonging the match for one more round, but not helping aL at all, as Lemondogs won 16-13 right after that.

Changing the map to Absolute Legends' pick, de_dust2_se, it was Lemondogs on the T side first and with the early lead 2-0. Although 3rd round was supposed to be just a formality with aL on a save, Alexander "rdl" Redl managed to pull off a 1-on-2 clutch to make the score 2-1.

With LD on eco now and Absolute Legends looking to equalize the score, the unexpected happened again, this time with Isak "cype" Rydman bringing the momentum back to his team with his own 1-on-2 clutch.

The next five rounds also went to Lemondogs who were now up 8-1, and even though aL replied with two, including another 1vs2 by Redl, they were immediately forced to eco after losing the round for 9-3.

The first half ended with an 11-4 lead for Lemondogs, as their star player Eliasson reached 19 kills to top the scoreboard.

Pistol round featuring 3 kills from their best fragger in the group stage Patrik "zajp" Knutsen, who didn't shine as much in this series, secured them a 13-4 advantage. Even though aL stringed two rounds after that, Eliasson and co. were able to climb on to match point after 3 excellent AWP kills by him, making the score 15-6 and two rounds later sealing the win 16-7.

I'm pretty sure absoluteLegends will be one of the top european teams of CSGO from now on... and who thought that no namers such as the guys from Lemondogs would be so strong at this game haha they surely have made clear they are one of the very best underdog teams out there...This game's competition mate i'm telling you is getting better by the minute :D

Fairly new so there are underdogs at every corner :) That's what I meant by it's impressive they came all the way from BYOC, not even an invited team. They had to go to the venue for the chance of qualifying and they did and now look where they are.

I'm sad and sort of dissapointed by Anexis though, i really wanted to see Denmark's top teams sweeping in the next tournaments. For me in a couple of months teams that will be sitting on the danish throne might be: 1.FNATIC 2.Anexis 3.3DMAX! 4.CPH Wolves

In domestic matches CPH wolves have been doing better than Anexis so I believe CPH would be second place honestly, then again that's my opinion based on results.

given time, fnatic will put a huge gap in between themselves and the other danish teams. might take a month, might take 3, but it will happen

I like how 'no namers' is used alot. They've won one LAN already, played awesome online and they were really good in css. And I guess aL has the names from 1.6 but this is CS:GO. Making that clear.

Well one thing is certain: now everyone knows their name and their reputation is gonna start building up from now on...with such awesome performances. I'm looking forward to see Sweden's top teams like: 1.NiP 2.aL (I know they will get even better with time) 3.Lemondogs 4.Western Wolves

Those four and perhaps a few others. NiP is in a league of their own but for the rest... damn. It's all about who performs well that day =D

There is so many new players which we don't know so far, so i don't see anything bad at this idea to ask which version of cs this guys used at the past.

I agree on that but when they know that they are former css, bf, quake or whatever. they start to flame them and gets mad wich is so retarded. this is a new game and background doesnt matter, what if a totally new player that hasnt been playing anything before comes in and dominate the scene what will happen then? NOTHING

Who cares about these stupid tards, which hate anything? They are hate all 1.6ers which already switched to CSGO, they are hate sausers, they are hate CSGO at all, so all that i can say that is: haters gonna hate, and im just ignore them, or try to doing some trolling here, that's it.

And what does that matter? Its a different game even for source players and if players is just open for "changes" its gonna be easy to adapt like its been for nip 1.6 players. This comments about wich game people come from has to stop unless he is completly unknown and impossible to google.

I get the feeling Lemonparty's been holed up in their basement since Inferno Online, hence why they haven't played in any tournament or league since then. Oh well.

They (aL) should think about cut off pronax, he is looking really bad at CSGO, i saw many games by aL. and he was most of the time last man at scoreboard. Also they must think about to pick some good sourcer instead of pronax, in my opinion addition of waver they can do some steps up.
