NiP to DH final with a 2-0 win vs mouz

NiP has clinched a spot in the grand final of DreamHack Winter 2012 after a 2-0 (16-14 de_dust2_se, 16-5 de_nuke_ve) win over mouz which saw them trail 0-9 to begin the series, only to go 32-10 after.

After a successful knife round to bein their semi-final on the easier terrorist side of de_dust2_se against NiP, mousesports were able to go on a run to score an early lead in the game.

The British-Norwegian mixture of players competing under the flag of mouz kept winning round after another, as NiP were simply getting outaimed all over the map early on in the game.

Watching live in the tournament area, even Emil "HeatoN" Christensen was getting worried as his ninjas fell down 0-9, but a close two-on-one win with Richard "Xizt" Landstrom put them onboard.

Next couple of rounds saw Adam "friberg" Friberg all of a sudden seemingly build a wall in the middle of the map, with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, whose by now rare KinzuV1 died prior to match start, chiming in with some kills as well.

f0rest was a beast despite his mouse issues

With mousesports' Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn getting louder and louder, and that is in the negative way as he was mostly complaining at his teammates, Lindberg clutched NiP their fifth round before the Swedes completed their six round run at 6-9.

mouz once again managed to win the pistol round in the second half, but NiP's second round buy brought them within seconds of a win thanks to Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's kills.

Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue was clearly unhappy with Gawn's feedback, as he, to put it nicely, asked Gawn to "shut up and play", right after his one-on-two win, which would be followed by a run of three rounds from the Swedes.

Still up 11-9, mouz's Preben "prb" Gammelsæter managed to win a one-on-three after plant using the oversized smoke grenade to his advantage. NiP seized control on the next round though, forcing mouz to save twice to even the game at 12.

mousesports finally struck back by winning the next round, but NiP instantly replied with an easy round, yet again forcing mouz to save. They weren't done yet though, as NiP ran out of time on round 28, tying the game at 14 each.

stingeR made RattlesnK quiet down and won some important clutch rounds for mouz

The undefeated Swedes prevailed once again though, as they won the final too rounds without much trouble, completing their comeback from a 0-9 deficit largely thanks to the topfragging Lindberg.

Second map de_nuke_ve started with Lindberg's one shot with a Desert Eagle on to Gawn outside, as him and Alesund combined for five kills to win NiP the pistol round.

Next four rounds went to NiP as well, as their upper hit ran over mouz on round four and they had no issues against the saving mouz squad in any of their three anti-eco rounds.

The challengers finally got onboard on round six, but NiP broke their money right after and went on a run of four rounds that saw James "Mx" Smale lose a one-on-one against Alesund.

A pair of AWP kills by Gawn allowed mouz to win the eleventh round, but NiP countered mouz's defense by rushing the upper site and getting the bomb planted before mousesports's defense could even settle in the site.

NiP and VeryGames return to  the podium at DreamHack Winter

The ninjas went on to win all four remaining rounds of the half as well, with Alesund, who led everyone in scoring with 19 frags, clutching his team a one-on-two in the second to last round for a 13-2 lead.

Midstue won a one-on-one clutch on the terrorist pistol round for mouz, and NiP failed to capitalize on their second round force buy, allowing mousesports to cut their deficit to 13-5.

On fourth round mouz turned a three-on-five into a two-on-two, but Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson's two M4A4 frags gave NiP their fourteenth round. Next round started with mouz up four-on-three, but it still wasn't enough, as NiP clinched game point.

The series came to an abrupt yet long waited end, as Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg was peeked almost simultaneously by three mouz members under ladder, and he scored three kills to make it 16-5 and 2-0 overall.

they've already played a 16-14 match vs mouz in this tourney. do you really think nip has come this far in cs by being unprofessional and dumb? sure, they slept through almost an entire half in maybe the biggest match of the year.

yes,it'd be disputable to say that nip didn't take mouz seriously in their first encounter, but in the semi-final I didn't think that nip was cocky enough to play in a so called "NOT SERIOUS" manner, especially after they barely eked out a win over mouz in the group stage.

indeed, they might have had a bit of an autopilot mentality coming into the gs match, but they obviously took the whole semi-final seriously.

4vs5, fifflaren gets most of his kills against ecos. I personally haven't seen him killing more than 1 enemy with weapon. IHMO other teams should start abusing the fifflaren factor, he's by far the weakest NiP player.

f0rest and GeT_RiGhT are just too stronk. When other teams will get a bit better and put the pressure onto NiP fifflaren will have to step up his game. I think he lost all his 1on1 and clutch rounds this matchup and his fragging is absolutely below par what is needed. 1 kill in first 10 rounds on D2, 8 kills in 24 rounds when f0rest was already at 25ish. On nuke he did alright but it is easier to roll on the waves when your enemies economy is crippled then when you're playing a tight map like d2.

Sounds extremely unproffesional to scream at your teammates midgame, that can really ruin the mood/game for you. If your unhappy with moves they do ingame you take it afterwards unless it's something you HAVE to change in the midst of it, and even then you dont yell it out like a dick.

Well, i remember this was exactly the case with Team EG back in 2010/2011. Lurppis and gfn just spits out all their frustration in-game. Maybe not shouting and yelling, but looking at their POV chats, a lot of similar things can be deduced.

could anyone explain me how are these ridiculous ratings made? 3 deaths different (the only thing gtr was better was in a map they destryoed mouz) and yet +13 of rating lol Fifflaren with +8 and only 1.01 is understandable since all he did was in the same map as gtr and yet gtr gets that huge rating? lol ratting doesnt really say anything, u should come up with a better algorythm or it is just there to deceive ppl..

it's just there to give an idea of how they played, for example i think if a player gets like 1 frag every round and another guy gets 3 every 3rd round he'll have a higher rating it's based on stuff like kills, rounds staying alive and how many kills per rounds full explanation: hltv.org/?pageid=242&eventid=0&gameid=2
