VeryGames top group B after all

Despite an early 12-16 loss against myDGB.net, VeryGames has managed to top group B at AMD Sapphire Invitational with dAT team getting knocked out of the event.

The Frenchmen answered their first loss in CS:GO to a team other than NiP with three quick wins over dAT team, eXtensive and k1ck. Two of the first ones came down to one or two rounds, but the Portuguese were no match for VG.

dAT team, which featured Dimitri "hooch" Bogdanov as a stand-in due to Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin's passport issues, failed to impress in Prague as the team left the event with two close losses and two blowouts for zero wins.

Portuguese k1ck finished second behind VeryGames with the same 3-1 record, but got demolished by the French side in their final match which saw Ricardo "fox" Pacheco's squad only score one terrorist side round on de_nuke_ve.

oskar's myDGB.net had a promising start, but fell short in the end

Tomas "oskar" Statsny's myDGB.net started off with an impressive win, but then weren't able to beat eXtensive, who tied them, or k1ck, who outright defeated them 16-11. They defeated dAT team to close out the group.

Although eXtensive only scored a single win, they had two 14-16 losses versus VeryGames and k1ck while they tied myDGB.net, so they looked more promising than their 1-2-1 record may seem.

With both groups now finished, the tournament will see four teams from each group advance to the playoffs for the following quarter-finals taking place tomorrow:

Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. France eXtensive!
Portugal k1ck vs. France BuyKey
Russia zNation vs. Slovakia myDGB.net
France VeryGames vs. Poland ESC Gaming

Schedule for the playoffs is so far unknown, but we will keep you updated right here on HLTV.org as soon as we receive more information about the event.

i actually think he should replace smithzZ.. they really need someone with insane aim that just runs around the map fragging which they dont have right now.. they look so weak on all of their T sides.. no matter the team they play, shoxie would improve them so much..

SmithzZ is really good player, I don't think he should leave this team, I think RpK could most likely leave because of his inconstancy but yes RpK playing perfect at this tournament so far :)

yes but when RpK is at downhill he is VERY terrible, at this moment he is so good and previous event maybe too but as I said, SmithzZ is more consistent player imo, he's doing his job great all the time

How do you even work that out ? RpK had a semi weak ESWC where VG still had less than 100 hours on steam in GO, so he was still adapting. Since then he was the best player at DH (Stat wise anyway) and is again playing very good at this tournament. Smithz is the only player that would be replaced.. and even then its unlikely. I mean why would they even replace any player ? They are the second best team in GO atm, did 1.6 or CSS teams switch players until they reached #1 ? or did they just keep practicing ?
